Whether you have wall mounted outdoor lights, exterior hanging lights, post mounted lights, or even looking for some string lights for your patio, I’m sharing a ton of ideas and stylish finds!

The Outdoor Light Fixtures At Our Home
Before we jump into all the lighting options I found, I thought I’d quickly review the ones we have at our home first.
Courtyard Outdoor Light Fixtures
Any time I share images of our courtyard, questions continue to pop up about our outdoor wall light fixture lanterns. We bought and installed them shortly after we moved into our home nine and a half years ago! You can purchase them here. I’m a big fan of the seeded glass (we get way too many bugs and cobwebs up in ours for clear glass). I also love that these are fully enclosed so bugs don’t get inside them. They’ve held up fairly well over time, but after nine-ish years, the finish has started to fade. It’s only noticeable if you know what they originally looked liked 😉 We also have these same lights on either side of our garage doors, but the view of the courtyard below shows them a little better.

Front Porch Light Fixtures
On our front porch, we have these exterior lantern lights and have been happy with them. However, the bottom is open on these, so they’re filled with cobwebs pretty much non-stop in the summer months which drives me nuts. Something to keep in mind if you install them in an area that is prone to bugs!

Backyard Light Fixtures
Moving out to our backyard and recently completed pool house, we have some fun new additions! In the area between the courtyard and the pool house, we added this gorgeous gooseneck light fixture. This area doesn’t have much going on since it’s more of the side yard, so the interior copper is like a little bit of jewelry for the space! It’s definitely more of a splurge but can be customized so many ways with a variety of color combos!
Moving on to our outdoor bar, we have two of these large outdoor wall lanterns flanking either side of the gas strut window. Pictures are somewhat deceiving because these things are actually massive when not surrounded by such oversized items! They’re also a bit of a splurge, but about a fourth of the cost of the designer version that inspired them! I love that they come in two finishes and four size options!
Exterior Wall Light Fixtures
The Darlana Outdoor Wall Lanterns are basically my dream outdoor light, but pretty cost-prohibitive, especially for being outside. So they’ve always served as my inspiration when searching for more affordable alternatives (like these mentioned above). Following are some of my top picks for exterior wall light fixtures. Exterior Ceiling Mount Light Fixtures
I always love homes that have a wire light hanging from the porch above the front door. It’s one of my favorite exterior looks. And this outdoor star pendant light is still one of my all-time favorites! I will use this light somewhere someday!

I can’t say enough great things about our shatterproof string lights so far! You can see then up in the courtyard photos. They have survived multiple major storms throughout the years! I’ve also found some other options that look like great alternatives if you’re looking for a different style or length.
