Stylish Flush Mount Light Fixtures

Finding stylish flush mount light fixtures can be challenging, but today I’m sharing my top picks and favorites for all budgets! I’m also sharing some favorite flush mount lighting options from around our home.

I originally shared this post back in the fall of 2017, but have continuously found myself referring to it multiple times over the years and even more so this past week or two! So today, I’ve refreshed the post a bit to include flush mount light fixtures that are still in stock and have re-organized the sections so you can also search by price! Finding The Right Light Fixture

Updating light fixtures is one of the easiest, and usually more affordable, updates you can make to a room! It’s also a great way to take a space from builder-basic to much more custom looking!

When I began our laundry room makeover back in 2017, one of the first things I knew I needed to change was our existing light fixture. Several years prior to that, I had installed a linear chandelier, but not surprisingly it just wasn’t that practical with our eight-foot ceilings on our second story. We could still walk under it easily enough, but became a problem when we would try to shake out clothes, etc.

So, I began the hunt for a stylish flush mount or semi-flush mount light fixture. Not only are they few and far between, but the prices vary so much! Since this was for our laundry room, I really wasn’t wanting to spend a lot, since the light would rarely be seen by anyone other than us. But, if you know me, you know that I love unique light fixtures so I had my eye on scallops, stars, beads and anything other than builder-basic style fixtures.

To find the perfect flush mount light fixture option for your home, first identify which style you are looking for. How do you want the overall space to feel? Classic? Coastal? Industrial? Modern? I find that it’s super helpful to have a picture of the space side-by-side with your monitor when you order online so you can really envision the fixture in your room.

Flush Mount Lighting Around Our Home

Back in 2017, I ultimately selected this scalloped flush mount light fixture for our laundry room and couldn’t be happier with it. It’s the same light we have in our den (shown further down in the post), and it makes an impact in the space without feeling over the top. Not only that, at the time, it was fairly reasonably priced and I love that it comes in two sizes. We have the larger 4-light version. Since the room doesn’t have any windows, I wanted to ensure still had plenty of light while working in the room. There’s a great look for less available now here, as well!

In our recent Jack & Jill bathroom renovation, we used this Moravian star semi-flush mount light and it’s gorgeous in person! It adds the perfect amount of warmth and visual interest to the space!

In our pantry, we added this beaded light fixture to the space. It was a fun way to add a little personality to a room otherwise full of cabinets. This beaded light with tassel is a great look for less option!
