Welcome to our 2021 Christmas home tour! A few weeks back, I shared my 2021 Christmas Design Boards & Decorating Ideas and today I’m back to share how many of those spaces took shape since! I had every intention of decorating with all ten boards in my plans, but real life intervened and the pool house renovation reveal took priority. But, I’m loving how the spaces that I did decorate turned out! Let’s jump to the tour!

We will likely be hosting Christmas this year for Kurtis’ side of the family, so I anticipate adding some additional decor in the coming weeks. If I do, I’ll try and get it added back into this post. But, I wanted to share the rooms I do have decorated as quickly as possibly because things are not only selling out, but shipping delays can be frustrating this year! I also wanted to post before Black Friday in case any of these items go on sale! Long story short, if you see rooms missing (like our kitchen and living room) I’ll likely be sharing them in coming weeks, but I didn’t want to delay on the spaces I have finished!
My color scheme is a bit muddled this year. The entryway and pool house coordinate a bit, and then everything else has an entirely different scheme that coordinates together. But hey, maybe that helps provide additional color combo ideas 😉
In my initial plans, I had every intention of going with browns, golds, blues and greens. So, I bought the ribbon for the entryway and later realized I couldn’t find much else in that color combo. Fortunately, it all works with my darling pinecone wreath! I bought it end of season last year on major discount and I love it so much!
This is my first time using bells in my decor and I absolutely love how these look tied to the railing! They were a little larger than I expected when they arrived, but I think the scale still works nicely in here! The garland is one I got from McGee & Co. years ago on end of season clearance, and haven’t found it since. But this option is very similar!
Seriously, this wreath could not be cuter!
CHRISTMAS ENTRYWAY SOURCES: White Raffia Cabinet (also here) | Tall Black Framed Mirror | Plaid Rug | Lantern Pendant Light | “It Is Well” Canvas Art | Wood Bead Garland | Colorblock Vase | Pinecone Wreath | Brown Velvet Ribbon | Khaki/Gold Velvet Ribbon | Gold Bells
As we move down the entryway hallway, I kept everything the same from my fall home tour, with the exception of the console table.
I asymmetrically draped some garland (this one sold out super early in the season) and hung the matching wreath (also sold out). And, as I mentioned in my design plans post, my goal this year is, when in doubt, put a bow on it 😉 You’re going to start seeing that pretty aggressively from here on out! I got a lot of use out of these rolls of velvet ribbon!
Here’s a closer look at the nativity. I would still like to add to it this year, since I usually try to add one piece each year. I’m thinking this year it will be the three wise men!
FALL ENTRYWAY HALLWAY SOURCES: Doxology Canvas | Pillowtop Bench | Grid Pillow (similar here) | Velvet Pillow (similar here) | Swing Arm Sconce Lights | Console Table | Similar Mirror | Lamp | Striped Ottoman Cubes | Similar Wood Bowl | Wreath | Garland | Velvet Ribbon | Wood Nativity | Wood Crèche | Metal Stars
Our dining room may be my new favorite room in our home! THAT RUG!!! Once I saw the rug, it kind of derailed all of my other decorating plans. I’m already obsessed with Stewart plaid, but when your last name is also Stewart, it feels like fate 😉
Here you can see how the dining room flows out into the pool house. I’ll be sharing that space later in the post! Side note: I’ve made a decision to leave all of our trees bare this year. You’ll see some bows on the pool house one, but I’ve decided not to hang ornaments. I love the look of a naked tree, and I felt like this was a way to add some simplicity to the decorating chaos that ensues each year!
CHRISTMAS DINING ROOM SOURCES: Dining Table | Cane Dining Chairs (look for less here) | Linear Chandelier (looks for less here) | Faux Christmas Tree | Woven Tree Collar | Long Serving Board | Shorter Serving Board | Stewart Plaid Rug | ‘Fall On Your Knees’ Canvas | Faux Pine Stems | White Vase | Faux Pine Wreath | Velvet Ribbon | Hutch | Small Buffet Table
Upstairs in our guest bedroom, I used the Stewart plaid bedding I used last year in our bedroom! It’s still a favorite and adds such a fun festive look to any room!
I’m not sure when the last time was that I showed this side of the bedroom! It’s been a work in progress for a few years, but I’m loving the dresser and round mirror in here! And no, the bottom two drawers on the right don’t easily open. We won’t get into whose measuring/miscommunication that was… but it works for us since this is a guest bedroom and the dresser is used to store seasonal bedding!
CHRISTMAS GUEST BEDROOM SOURCES: Upholstered Bed | Stewart Plaid Shams & Duvet Cover | Velvet Pillow Covers | Bead Chandelier | Raffia Nightstands | Arched Mirrors | White Ceramic Lamps (come as a set of two) | ‘O Come Let Us Adore Him’ (now only available as a digital download) | Cane Chair | Dresser | Round Mirror | Faux Greenery – old | Colorblock Vase | Footed Bowl | Similar Red Ornaments
Our Jack & Jill bathroom remodel was completed the first of the year, but this is the first time I’ve decorated it for any particular season. And I’m so happy I did! Even without the Stewart plaid towels and bath mat, the faux pine needles and velvet ribbon add such a festive touch! Since our mirrors extend from the wall, it’s easy for our guests to throw the ribbon tails behind. But, if your mirror(s) are flush to the wall, you could simply trim your ribbon shorter!
Here’s a view looking into the den, which I didn’t photograph other than this image. I still have a little work in there to do, so maybe that will be a space I circle back on. But I love that the Stewart plaid pillows I used last year in our living room (which have the softest sherpa back) have so many pieces that coordinate with them this year!
JACK & JILL BATHROOM CHRISTMAS SOURCES: Wood & Cane Vanity | Light Fixtures | Pivot Mirrors | Velvet Ribbon | Faucets | Towel Rings | Stewart Plaid Hand Towels (similar here) | Stewart Plaid Bath Mat(similar here) | Marble Floor Tiles | Faux Greenery – old | Colorblock Vase | Hand Soap
CHRISTMAS DEN SOURCES: Sectional (see my review here) | Velvet Pillow | Grid Pillow (reverse colorway here) | Stewart Plaid Lumbar Pillow | Tripod Lamp | Scallop Light Fixture
I shared our pool house addition reveal last week, and a few minutes after I had everything photographed in summer mode, I took it all down to start decorating for the holidays!
In the living room area, I simply added some garland (unfortunately this is the one that sold out super early in the season). I then used the pillows from our fall home tour that I had in the den down here. I am really loving this color combo lately, and thinks it works equally as well for the holidays!
These cute knit stockings were a budget find and I’m so happy with them for the price! I’ve had the reindeer stocking holders for as long as I can remember and don’t even know where I got them. The bows here got extra fancy because I added an ivory one to the mix!
CHRISTMAS POOL HOUSE LIVING ROOM SOURCES: Outdoor Sofa (Perennials Basketweave – Chalk)| Outdoor Swivel Chairs (Perennials Basketweave – Coastal Blue) | Round Storage Coffee Table | Round Storage Side Table | Rug | Woven Stools | Plaid Pillow Cover | Corduroy Pillow Cover | Suede Stripe Pillow Cover | Linen Throw Blanket | Floating Shelf Mantel | Knit Stockings | Velvet Ribbon | Garland | Frame TV (teak frame) | Ceiling Fan | Warm Gold Curtain Rod | Warm Gold Curtain Rings | Curtain Panels (I have a pair on each side due to the width of the sliding door) | Colorblock Vase | Recycled Glass Beads | Bone Beads | “Beautiful” Coffee Table Book | “Dream Decor” Coffee Table Book | “Surf Shack” Coffee Table Book | “Escape” Coffee Table Book | Gingham Tray | Fireplace Tile
The only update I made to the pool house bathroom was to swag a garland asymmetrically over the mirror. A simple touch that definitely makes it feel more festive! If I get ambitious over the coming week, I may add a bow to the corner of the garland, as well.
CHRISTMAS POOL HOUSE BATHROOM SOURCES: Vanity | Light Fixture | Mirror | Towel Bar | Toilet Paper Holder | Hand Towel | Hand Soap | Faucet | Garland | Door Hardware | LVP Floors
I kept the kitchen fairly simply, with a few festive touches and, of course, some bows!
I added this oversized juniper berry wreath above the bar window, since we have zero plans to open it up in the winter months 😉
I’m absolutely loving this easel I shared in a Wednesday Watch List a few weeks ago. It’s perfect to display art in my favorite gallery frames! Once you have the two base products, it’s easy to swap out the art seasonally. Here I’m using the “Let Your Heart Be Light” print from Lindsay Letters!
CHRISTMAS POOL HOUSE KITCHEN SOURCES: Basket Pendant Lights | Aged Brass Star Sconces | Striped Runner Rug | Backless Counter Stools | Cabinet Ball Knobs | Drawer Bin Pulls | Trash Drawer Pull | Faucet | Counter Depth Fridge | Beverage Fridges | LVP Floors | Oversized Juniper Berry Wreath | Seaglass Bowl | Easel | Frame | “Let Your Heart Be Light” Art | Tortoise Ice Bucket | Tortoise Bowls | Blue Plaid Dish Towels |Cabinet Color: BM Simply White | Countertops: White Macaubas Quartzite
One of my favorite additions to the pool house this season is this 9′ faux Christmas tree!
I love that our dining table can comfortably accommodate eight chairs. It will be perfect for hosting Christmas!
Love, love, love this reflection at night!
CHRISTMAS POOL HOUSE DINING ROOM SOURCES: Dining Table | Outdoor Dining Chairs | Woven Chairs | Plaid Pillow Covers | Driftwood Candle Holder | Dripless Candles | Garland | 9′ Faux Christmas Tree | Moravian Star Tree Topper | Woven Tree Collar | Navy Blue Velvet Ribbon
I hope you enjoyed our 2021 Christmas Home Tour!

I love it all… but goodness, I could just move right on in to the pool house!
Sarah says
Thank you so much! I kind of want to move out there too 🙂
Jennie Smith says
Gorgeous! From top to bottom. I appreciate that you are able to decorate your entire house and leave it still bright and light. My house seems to get too dark with my decor. So many ideas I will replicate – starting with the tree topper. I just bought the Kurt Adler star tree topper! Also where can I find these cutting boards/charcuterie boards/paddle boards hanging behind the Christmas tree in your dining room. I must have those! Happy Holidays!
Sarah says
Thank you! The tree topper is super cute! And I just added the links for the boards – sorry about that! Here’s the smaller one: https://rstyle.me/+amYVTIQUXoRqh-ZEsSby5Q. And here’s the larger one: https://rstyle.me/+amYVTIQUXoRqh-ZEsSby5Q. They are 25% off today if you use code HAPPYDAY!

Everything is very tasteful and looks beautiful. I am usually done decorating by now but we are in the middle of some messy renovations so I haven’t started. The one thing I might reconsider is the color of the hand soap in the pool house bathroom. But antibacterial is definitely a priority this year and the dispenser is both interesting and simple.
Sarah says
Thank you so much! And that’s actually the soap that came in the bottle so we’re using it up. We love the scent!
Anne Davis says
Can you share the link to the EASEL in the kitchen? Not the website but the EASEL?
Sarah says
Hi Anne – That actually is/was the correct link. But it looks like it has since sold out (it was on clearance at a great price) so they’re re-routing to the home page!

Once I saw the Stewart plaid rug in your dining room, I had to buy it. Bought the runner for my entry. It will put a smile on everyone’s face when they enter this year. So very festive.
Love your decor this year more than ever before and next year my trees will be “naked”.
Sarah says
Thank you so much! And you’ll love it! I love mine so much, I’m seriously considering getting the runner too. It’s definitely a “happy” rug!!
Diane says
It all looks amazing…..you did an outstanding job!
Marianne Hedemark says
I love being inspired by your home. One question… what color paint do you have on your walls? Are they all the same white?
Sarah says
Thank you so much! They’re Benjamin Moore Simply White.
