Coastal Bathroom Wallpaper

I can’t believe this day is finally here! My first set of wallpapered rooms are complete! There’s still some work to do in each of these spaces, but rather than wait until I felt like everything was perfect, I wanted to share how they look now. So today I’m sharing the coastal bathroom wallpaper I used in three of our spaces!

Although I would love to install my own wallpaper in the future, this time around we used Natural Art Wallcover and Painting, a local professional team. They did a great job and I’m happy to pass along their contact info if you’re local. We have 12′ ceilings on our main floor and 10′ ceilings upstairs, and after speaking with a friend who has installed a lot in her lifetime, she said those weren’t ideal conditions for a first-timer. So, down the road I hope to tackle a smaller project and gain some confidence!

Coastal Powder Bathroom Wallpaper

Let’s start with our powder bathroom. I think I struggled with choosing the wallpaper for our powder bathroom more than any other space. Since this room is right off our kitchen and is the most visible bathroom, I wanted to ensure I selected something a bit more classic and that we wouldn’t tire of quickly. Here’s a peek at the space before. The room is very small and narrow with a sloped ceiling.

I am thrilled with the Oceana Wallpaper we selected! It’s hard to capture in photos because this room doesn’t get much natural light, but the pattern looks like it was applied with paint and has a really unique character to it! I also love that this pattern really draws your eye up and emphasizes the 12′ ceiling. It makes the room feel much larger in person! We haven’t decided if we’ll rehang the art or not (it was never purchased for this space and was one I’ve owned for probably a decade). For now we’re loving the space as is!

Horizontal Striped Bathroom Wallpaper

Here’s a peek at our upstairs bathroom before. This bathroom adjoins our bedroom, but isn’t the one we use to shower or get ready. Long story short, but I use the intended primary bedroom on the main floor as my office. Neither of us love a first floor bedroom (especially at the front of the house) and the flow works better with my office there. So, this bathroom was intended to be a secondary bathroom and works great as intended! We just prefer to get ready where there is a double vanity 🙂

I’ve had a sample of this Striped Wallpaper for as long as I can remember (I got it many years ago when we lived in Omaha)! And I’m so happy to finally have it installed in one of our spaces! It’s intended to be hung vertically, but I had it installed horizontally. I had seen the darker blue version installed that way in the Nashville Draper James store and loved it so much! I couldn’t be happier with how it looks now in our bathroom!

Because it has little wall space, I also chose to have the paper hung in the adjoining room with the shower and toilet. Half the walls are wrapped with subway tile due to the shower stall, so it was an easy addition to wrap the remaining drywall in paper!

I love this view looking out into our bedroom! I was washing our white blanket this particular day, so there’s a lot of stripes going on with the sheets in full view, but you know I’m not afraid of stripes on stripes on stripes! You can see more pictures of our bedroom in this post.

Coastal Guest Bathroom Wallpaper

I don’t have a great before photo of our upstairs guest bathroom, but outside of the blue vanity it was basically a sea of white. This bathroom also has a bath/tub combo, so much like the bathroom above, half the room has white subway tile wrapping the walls.

Not gonna lie. This fan palm wallpaper may be my very favorite of all! I’ve loved fan palms for as long as I can remember, and it’s even more fun that they’re a native species here where we live in Florida. I’ve loved the blue version for years (and almost used it at Hola Beaches!) but thought the neutral was a safer option here – particularly with the blue vanity!

This bathroom is super tiny so picture me squatting in the bathtub to take this next photo. I had to use my wide-angle lens for these images, hence the extra elongated toilet 😉 But man, this print just makes me so happy!

I’m so happy we finally moved forward with this project! It really is amazing how wallpaper can change a space so dramatically. I fully intend to wallpaper several more spaces in our home and carriage house now that I know just how much I love it!

Everything is perfect! Hard to pick a favorite, but the fan palms might be it for me. All three rooms work so well. The horizontal stripes remind me of a big hug pulling you in to the room! All stunning!
