Guest Bathroom Renovation: Classic Coastal Bathroom Vanities

Decorating Ideas, Tips and Trends, Room Makeovers + Design Plans

Thank you for all of your great feedback last week on the first post of our guest bathroom renovation series! As I mentioned in that post, the design board I created was purely to paint a general idea of the look we’re going for. So, we actually still have to shop for all the products we’ll use in the new space. Today I am sharing a collection of bathroom vanities that are possible contenders for the space!

A collection of classic coastal bathroom vanities for a variety of budgets! Includes louvered bath vanities, driftwood vanities, gray bathroom vanities, white bath vanities and much more!
Sources for these bathroom vanities, and many more, are listed further down in the post.

Bathroom Vanity Thoughts

Before we dig into all of my bathroom vanity finds, I thought I’d recap just a bit on our plans. As a reminder, here is the design board with the general, overall look we want.

MOOD BOARD SOURCES: Vanity | Pivot Mirrors | Light Fixtures | Vanity Faucet | Faux Greenery | Paint-Dipped Vase | Towels | Beveled Subway Tile | Carrara Mosaic Tile | Memory Foam Bath Mats | Toilet | Moravian Star Light Fixture | Shower Head | Paint Color: Benjamin Moore Simply White

Now that so many vanities come with a solid surface countertop and sink, we’ll likely go that route so we don’t have to order a vanity and then have a custom top fabricated at a stone yard. Since this is our guest bathroom in a Jack and Jill bedroom situation, this doesn’t need to go into “dream bathroom” territory 😉 We’re simply looking for a clean, durable and classic look that will be beautiful for years to come! And if we can save money with an included countertop and sinks, I’m totally okay with that (assuming it’s not an obnoxious stone).

Two other things I didn’t touch on in the post last week, but did come up in comments that I tried to get back to each of you on. For us this bathroom connects the guest bedroom and our den. But they are both technically bedrooms and this is considered a Jack & Jill bath. So, while I would love to do a single sink for actual guest room purposes, I think for resale, it needs to be a double sink since this is technically the “kid’s” bathroom. Along with that, the tub also needs to stay for this reason, since the only other tub in the house is in the master and it’s a jetted tub.

Bathroom Vanities To Consider

I’m actually very much in love with the vanity I used in our moodboard. You may recognize that it matches our new dresser and the bed in our other guest bedroom! Although I had some issues with the delivery of my dresser, I’m willing to possibly try that route again. I may just be a glutton for punishment 😉 But, it’s one of the few unique designs I’ve found that is both classic and with a coastal feel. They also have fairly regular sales where you can take $800-$1,000 off the price. But, I also wanted to explore some other options.

This vanity is another beautiful option and is currently on sale at a pretty great price in the Charcoal Gray (which looks almost navy in the pics) with the Carrara marble top).

I’m currently looking at 60″ vanities, since our space is 67″ wide. So with that, I need options that are finished on the side. Many of the vanity options I’m sharing below come in other size options and color/finish options, as well! I’m wanting something classic with a slight coastal vibe that will be a timeless and durable option!

Following are some of the other vanity options I’ve found so far. Simply click on any of the images below to learn more about each of the items.

Which bathroom vanity is your favorite? Are there any other great options out there that I should know about? I’ve literally never had to buy a bathroom vanity before so I’ve basically just adjusted to whatever has been in each of our houses. So I’d love to hear feedback!

Sarah! You are in Omaha! I am likely old enough to be your mom, but our daughter graduated from Creighton, we went back to a wedding last year in Omaha. We were there a few times a year! I lived in Omaha decades ago. I will have to share your blog with my daughter’s friends who live and work in Omaha (CPA’s)! laura

Out of all the vanities you have shown, the one on the mood board is YOU. It fits your home and your decorating style. At first I thought it seemed pricy until I read that it comes with a carrara marble top and backsplash. The only thing you are adding are the faucets. Plus currently PB Is offering 25% off. So that makes it quite affordable. If I were designing your bathroom it would be my first pick.

My absolute favorite vanity is the Piedmont double vanity with open bottom shelf.

Just a tip – Home Depot has a big selection of pivot mirrors identical to the PB varieties. We had difficulty finding the PB ones in stock and bought three from Home Depot and the quality was great, still look beautiful three years later.

I recently bought this in 72” from Costco. The quality is great. It was $300 off when I bought it.

The guy who installed it builds custom cabinets and he said he couldn’t build it as nice for what I paid.

Love everything you put together! What app do you use for your mood boards? I’m building a house and need to pull all my ideas together in one place.
