2022 Christmas Home Tour

Christmas, Home Tour

It’s one of my favorite days of the year – our 2022 Christmas home tour is here! Granted, I’m sharing our tour about three weeks later than I intended to. However, I still wanted to share it so that it was in the archives in future years. I’m hoping you’ll still find an idea or two you love that you can use yet this year, or in future years. After our big downsize this year, I wanted to keep the decor simple and uncluttered. Let’s jump to the tour!

Our 2022 Christmas Home Tour

We’ve now lived in Florida for just over two months. The last I showed of our spaces was in this home tour one month after our arrival. Our entryway is the first spot in our home I decorated for the Christmas season. It’s a small alcove right off our living room, but it still has lots of personality!

A small entryway decorated for Christmas with a light wood console table, striped ottoman cube, rattan table lamp, wreath with blue and green velvet ribbon, a wood nutcracker, a coral mirror, and a mini tree in a seagrass basket.

CHRISTMAS ENTRYWAY SOURCES: Console Table | Coral Mirror (look for less here) | Scalloped Rattan Lamp | Striped Ottoman Cube | Wreath | Blue Ribbon | Green Ribbon | Decorative Nutcracker | Mini Tree | Louis Vuitton Coffee Table Book | Architectural Digest Coffee Table Book

From the entryway, you enter our living room, kitchen and dining spaces that all flow together. You’ll likely notice pretty quickly that I’m still using the throw pillows from our summer home tour. I didn’t really want to buy new pillows this year and thought these would be a fun way to incorporate the colors I used on our tree.

A coastal living room decorated with blue and green throw pillows, light leather armchairs, a round bamboo coffee table, a 9' artificial Christmas tree and a jute rug.

Here you can see just how close our entryway is to the living room. Our sofas are definitely a bit large for the space, but we plan to use them in the new build so we’re making them work here! I used blue and green velvet ribbons on the wreath and staircase garland to tie into the throw pillows on the sofa. I’m really loving these saturated blue and green hues this year!

A Christmas home with a linen sofa, blue and green throw pillows, garland on the staircase, a small console table, a wreath with Christmas lights and a rattan table lamp.

Is there anything better than a house lit only by Christmas lights at night?! I love it so much!

CHRISTMAS LIVING ROOM SOURCES: Sofas | Leather Chairs | Rug | Coffee Table | Rattan Cabinet | Linen Pillows | Patterned Pillows (I sewed my own with this fabric) | Large White Footed Bowl | Similar Moss Balls | Staircase Garland & Garland on Cabinet

Moving to the left of the living room is our kitchen. It has a relatively small footprint, so I kept it extra simple, not wanting to clutter up the countertops with decor. The blue velvet ribbon on the pendant lights instantly made them look like ornaments and I love it!

A small white kitchen decorated for Christmas with silver pendant lights with light blue velvet bows, woven backless counter stools, a vase filled with evergreen stems, and garland on the staircase.

The vase is filled with old faux evergreen stems I’ve had for several years. I believe they were from Target!

The view below is taken from the kitchen, in between the island and refrigerator you can see above. I love that you can see the Christmas tree right when we walk in from the garage!

A coastal living room and dining room with a tall Christmas tree, linen sofa, jute rug, light blue velvet ribbon, and rattan media console, Frame TV, and a seagrass tree collar.

The dining room holds the Christmas tree, so I didn’t change much else in the space.

Here’s the view from the dining room table. You can see the details on the tree a bit better here! I used varying shades of green and light blue, and tied simple light blue velvet bows for the tree!

One of my favorite decorating ideas is to use leftover ornaments in various vessels around the home. I’ve filled dough bowls, footed bowls, vases, and more to create a very simple yet festive centerpiece for various rooms in our home!

A simple white footed bowl filled with leftover green ornaments. You can see the lights from the Christmas tree in the background.

On the other side of the dining room is our long console table with some more garland and our nativity scene! I love this set so much, and it has been fun to collect a new piece over the years. I think I’m down to only two or so pieces left!

Next to the console table is the door to our bedroom. If you haven’t noticed already, the Christmas decorating theme this year was “simplicity”. And that definitely applies to our bedroom as well!

A 2022 Christmas home tour featuring a neutral bedroom with a white headboard, blue striped rug, wreath hung over the bed, dark green velvet pillows, a white chandelier, rattan nightstands and blue gray ceramic lamps.

I added a few velvet pillows I had on hand to the bed, hung a wreath, and added some mini pre-lit trees to the nightstands.

Across from the bed, the only update was adding the blue velvet bows to the topiaries on our dresser!

A coastal bedroom with a light wood dresser, blue and green lily pad art, topiaries with light blue velvet ribbons, a white chandelier, an artificial olive tree, blue striped rug, and batik style bench.

CHRISTMAS BEDROOM SOURCES: White Upholstered Bed | Nightstands | Mini Pre-Lit Trees (medium size) |Wreath | Blue Velvet Ribbon | Quilt & Euro Shams | Velvet Pillows | Lamps | Chandelier | Striped Rug | Bench | Dresser | Art | Hamper Baskets | Faux Olive Tree (7′ size) | Topiaries | Blue & White Topiary Vases

And, that wraps up our tour since I didn’t do any decorating upstairs. I hope you enjoyed our simple blue and green Christmas home tour! I also hope you all have a wonderful Christmas season ahead!

So beautiful! Thank you for all of your inspiration! I like that you used blue instead of the traditional green and red.

Thank you Marianne! I’ve used traditional colors quite a bit in the past so it was fun to change things up!
