This is somewhat of a “random thoughts and purchases by Sarah” type post today. I had every intention of posting a few more “formal” blog posts earlier this week, but had a number of things come up and here we are on Saturday. So, I’m sharing a few recent favorites, some recommended sale finds and a bit more.

Remember the below graphic from last week’s sale post? Well I influenced myself to buy several things from it 😉 Most of the items are still on sale too if you missed any last week.

SOURCES: Wide Brim Raffia Bucket Hat | Open-Stitch V-Neck Cardigan | Metallic Shell Earrings | Flutter-Sleeve Block Print Top | Linen Shirt | High-Rise Denim Trouser Jeans | Hand-Knotted Raffia Fish Bag | Hand Knotted Shoulder Bag | Canvas Espadrille Flats | Bleached Rattan Pendant Light | Bent Rattan Mirror | Round Shell Mirror | Coral Bookends | Bamboo Style Side Table | Mixed Shell Vase Filler | Seashell Catchall | Coral Applique Pillow Cover | Everyday Linen Pillow Cover | Contrast Trim Pillow Cover | Chambray Artisan Handcrafted Bowls | Faux Coral Collection | Rattan Side Table | Striped Jute & Wool Rug
I had a Pottery Barn gift card to use and couldn’t stop thinking about the coral bookends. I have so many coffee table books on my office bookshelf. And I knew they would be absolutely perfect in the space. They’re still 40% off this weekend. One of them did arrive with a portion snapped off, but it was easy to hot-glue gun back on and you can’t see it. Not worth the drive to Destin for me to try and exchange it 😉 Beyond thrilled with both sizes!

I also picked up a few of these faux coral items and love them so much (also still on sale)! I know I’ll have them for years and years to come. Lastly, I ordered this faux banana palm arrangement and love it much more than I expected! The leaves have wire in them (it arrived pretty flat) so you can quickly and easily bend them and it’s a pretty impressive arrangement for the size! I quickly put both of them on my coffee table so you could see them in better detail.

COFFEE TABLE SOURCES: Chairs | Coffee Table | Indoor/Outdoor Striped Rug | Oversized Raffia Tray | “Surf Tribe” | “Joie” | “Beach Life” | Faux Coral (Faux Leaf Coral option) | Faux Banana Palm Arrangement
These coral napkin rings I shared a few months back are also on sale (as are the gorgeous melamine dishes)! I love them so much and they really add so much to a tablescape. You can see more of this tablescape and others in my post on easy summer tablescape ideas. I’m tempted to order these coral candle holders that coordinate with the rings!

In other news, my favorite wireless bra is on its famous $30 sale this weekend, and includes free shipping and returns! They only do this sale a handful of times throughout the year. The bra is incredibly supportive (without the wires) and has a great, smooth silhouette under tops. I also have this bra that I own and love (I just don’t reach for it quite as often) but it’s a great alternative. You can see all of Soma’s other $30 bras here.

Have you guys ever ordered from Frank & Eileen? I had first heard of the brand last year on Kurtis’ work trip. Several of the wives were raving about it and I was definitely in the minority having not tried any of their pieces yet. But I was very drawn to the effortless California casual vibes of many of their pieces. Very Nancy Meyers-ish vibes. I came home and checked their site and in all honesty, their prices had me not ready to jump in and order something. Fast forward a year, and my friend Rachel got this top and raved about it. She wears it all the time and it has washed so well! It just has that perfectly lived-in look. I ended up ordering this sweater (also here) from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale while it was on sale and really loved it. So I decided to order this top too along with this top this week to see if I love them equally as much. I’ll keep you posted! If you’re looking to move away from fast fashion a bit and into classic, investment pieces, they’re worth a look. They have a lot of really cute items in their sale section right now too.
One of my favorite swim brands, Summersalt, is offering 30% off sitewide with code HOT30. They carry most of their styles year after year, so it’s not like you’ll have “last year’s model” if you purchase now for next year 😉 I find their suits incredibly flattering, and I love that they also carry long torso versions in many of their styles. I bought this bow shoulder suit for our catamaran trip and then wore it again in the Bahamas (shown below) and basically all summer long! My colorway has since sold out but there are so many other pretty combos. I also love these shorts (shown below) and these shorts with it because they dry so quickly! And if you don’t love the bow, this suit is the one I started with and my mom and several of my friends all own – offers great compression without feeling restricted or uncomfortable!

Earlier this week on Instagram, I shared some of my favorite Wayfair finds we own that I’d buy again (or already have)! You can shop all of those items here.

In other random news, I ran out of my favorite Jo Malone cologne (Yuzu Zest) I’ve been wearing for the last year and a half or so. It was limited edition so, sadly, I can no longer get it. So I ordered this one to try after hearing great things about it. It supposedly pairs and layers well with this other favorite of mine so I’m going to give it a shot!
I just went through all the sources from my fall 2024 home tour and realized the bulk of the items are still in stock this year (and several on sale). So, if you’re looking for a little fall inspiration or haven’t seen the tour before, you can check it out here.

FALL LIVING ROOM SOURCES: Woven Shades (Bonaire Flaxen) | Sofas (read my full review here) | Chairs | Coffee Table | Indoor/Outdoor Striped Rug | Linen Pillows (Mineral Blue) | Paisley Pillow Covers | Small Stripe Pillow Covers | Wide Stripe Pillow Covers | Acrylic Drink Tables | Frame TV | Glass Vase | Faux Olive Branches | Similar Dried Grapewood Branch | Oversized Raffia Tray | “Surf Tribe” | “Surf Like A Girl” | Swivel Counter Stools | Woven Chandeliers (look for less options here)
That wraps up my random thoughts and sale notices. I hope you all enjoy your weekend! It’s finally supposed to be sunny around here this weekend so we’re hoping to get out and enjoy the beautiful weather!
