It’s no secret that I’m a fan of Serena & Lily products and their entire aesthetic! They’re currently hosting their “Coast to Coast” sale, with 20% off sitewide with code SALE (including clearance!). Some exclusions apply, but for the most part, nearly all decor and furniture is included now thru May 7th! This post isn’t sponsored, but I know many of you love the brand as much as I do, so I thought I’d share some Serena & Lily Reviews of products we’ve owned over the years, as well as some top Serena & Lily sale picks in general since they only do a handful of these sitewide sales a year!
Serena & Lily Reviews Of Items Around Our Home
When we made the cross-country move from Omaha to Florida, we sold as much of our furniture as possible if we knew we wouldn’t have a spot for it in our new home. However, there were some key pieces we held on to, many of which were Serena & Lily or Pottery Barn because we loved them so much. But we did have to buy several new pieces, as well, to fill some of the voids. Today I’m sharing my review of most of the Serena & Lily items I’ve owned over the years. Let’s start with some of our newer items we’ve owned, because I know you haven’t heard as much about them as you have some of our older pieces.
Serena & Lily Comporta Lounge Chair Review
We’ve owned our Serena & Lily Comporta Lounge Chairs for about seven months now and I absolutely love them! They are the perfect mix of neutral and color and are perfect for a beachy aesthetic. They are rather large, and very comfortable. Not necessarily a curl-up-cozy comfortable due to the wood arms, but very nice to sit on. My only regret with these chairs is the fabric I selected. I really had my heart set on the blue linen because I loved the color so much. But, since the bottom cushion is not removable, I’m concerned I’ll regret not selecting one of the performance fabric options down the line. It’s not uncommon that Kurtis eats dinner in the chair, so there have been a few spills. Thankfully they’ve cleaned up well, but in hindsight, I should have gone Performance!

Serena & Lily Driftway Furniture Review
Two of my favorite recent furniture finds are those in the Driftway furniture line.
In our carriage house, we have the blue Driftway Coffee Table. It has held up great over the past 8 months or so that we’ve owned it. We’ve had a lot of guests in our carriage house, and the coated surface really makes this piece much more livable than some of the prior raffia and linen lines that Serena & Lily offered. Since this is a relatively new purchase, I’ll be sure to continue to update you over time. But so far we are very happy with this item!

Similarly, in our entryway, we added the Driftway console table and really love it! The blue was a much-needed addition to this otherwise very white space, and the drawers provide storage for items like keys, box openers, etc.

I also have the Driftway Bookshelf in my office. It gets daily use and has still held up really well, also! The color of blue is just so perfect and really stands out in any room,
Serena & Lily Mercer Furniture Review
In our new build home that we moved into last fall, we added several new furniture pieces to our home. Two of which were the Mercer Coffee Table and the Mercer Console Table. I was actually able to buy both of these pieces through a Serena & Lily outlet. They both had some minimal damage (a ding here or there) but otherwise are in excellent shape.
The Mercer Console Table has considerable storage with three drawers and several adjustable shelves. We use it in my office and it has been such a great addition to our home!

I talk about this further down in the post, but after owning a Blake console table and Blake Coffee table in the past (which were fully wrapped in linen), I can now attest to how much better the Mercer furniture design is! With the several inches of wood edging, these products are significantly more durable, particularly in a high-traffic living room. And quite honestly, much prettier with the contrast! The Mercer coffee table has quickly become one of my favorite pieces of furniture in our home. The table is often backordered due to its popularity, but I have always found Serena & Lily’s estimated ship dates to be fairly accurate.

Serena & Lily Swivel Counter Stools Review
I talk about this further down in the post, but the Riviera Counter Stools are still some of my favorite pieces of furniture we’ve owned. In Omaha, we had the stationary version (see below) but for our new build, we opted for the swivel counter stools. With our rather long peninsula, the swivel has been such a great feature! You still have the comfort and durability of the original stools, but the swivel makes it so much easier to get in and out of the chair – plus, less potential sliding damage on your floors. Some people may feel the stools are “overdone” or “overused” but there’s a reason for that. They really are great chairs!

Serena & Lily Beach House Slipcovered Bed Review
Our Serena & Lily Beach House Slipcovered Bed was an absolute splurge, but when I first laid eyes on it a few years ago, I knew we had to eventually get it. The bed we previously used (a Bernhardt find from Nebraska Furniture Mart) was with us for 14+ years, but didn’t survive the move. I took the damage as a sign that it was time to move on. Convenient 😉 I couldn’t be more thrilled with this bed. It’s absolute perfection. Our fabric is the Perennials Basketweave Sky (which is a performance fabric) and has held up beautifully. I would absolutely recommend ordering fabric samples if you’re considering this bed if you plan to invest to ensure you get the color and quality you want!

Sundial Outdoor Furniture Review
In the pool house we had built in Omaha, we have been so happy with all the furniture we selected. The indoor/outdoor sofa and chairs made the move with us down to Florida.
The upholstered furniture is all indoor/outdoor performance furniture, and therefore very expensive, so I’d only ever buy it on sale like this. But the fabrics we chose have been incredibly durable so far, and are easy to clean up. I even threw the sofa slipcover in the wash and followed the care instructions. Super easy to do and was really easy to put back on and make it look how it originally did. Since the room is designed to function as an indoor/outdoor space, it needs to accommodate a lot of traffic as well as wet bathing suits, food, and spills!

You can now find the sofa in our carriage house and the chairs out on our screened-in porch. Both are still holding up beautifully!
Review of Serena & Lily Items in our Omaha Pool House Kitchen
Moving into the Omaha pool house kitchen, we have a few more favorites! The Striped Runner Rug has made the rounds over the years, and we still love it so much! The varying shades of blue tend to work well in many spaces and we’ve found it to clean up fairly easily. I just use our stick vac with the hardwood floor attachment on it to vacuum it, since I worry a brushed attachment may snag it. Our Basket Pendant Lights are another favorite. We had the larger size, and although they’re huge, they aren’t overwhelming since they’re still fairly airy and light. They add some much-needed warmth to the space. The Backless Counter Stools were another favorite, and we found them to be very comfortable. They also have a much higher weight threshold than some of the look-for-less options you’ll find out there.

Riviera Outdoor Swivel Counter Stools Review
We’ve used our Riviera Outdoor Swivel Counter Stools both indoors and outdoors. They were outside for a full season in Omaha and still show very little signs of wear. We never brought them inside unless we knew a big storm was coming through.
Serena & Lily Terrace Round Dining Table Review
I absolutely love love love the look of our 55″ Terrace Round Dining Table. But, over the years, I have had concerns about the durability. It’s intended to be an indoor/outdoor table, but we never put it to the test much in Omaha because it feels so porous. It might be one of those things that would totally surprise us and wipe entirely clean if something spilled, but I wasn’t really willing to test it at that point!
Once we made the move to Florida, I knew it had to be functional for us, or it needed to go (even outside where the patina would be more acceptable to me). I can happily say we’ve had the table in Florida for another year and a half and it’s still holding up great. We’ve used it considerably more down here with all of our visitors. There are a few scuffs on it, but nothing I would consider a stain. I only use water and a cloth to wipe it. However, if you have small children or messy eaters, it may not be a great fit for you (unless you cover it and/or have glass made for the top).
I do plan to get some glass cut for the top since I now know it fits so great in our new dining room. I think that will only continue to extend its lifespan. Here is how it looked in our Omaha dining room. Funny enough, Serena & Lily just launched these Puglia Dining Chairs that look very similar to the sold-out CB2 version in our dining room.

Here is the same table in Florida (in our temporary house when we moved down here) for comparison purposes. Here we’re using these look for less dining chairs that look a lot like the S&L Balboa dining chairs.

And here is how the table looks in our dining room today. We have it paired with the Eastham Dining Chairs, which happen to be on clearance and the 20% off stacks on top of that price! We’ve been super happy with the chairs. Despite the shorter back, they are very comfortable (even for us taller folks). The rope is coated since they also work outdoors, and the fabric is performance, so despite a lot of use, they still look brand new! I will note that I received two chairs with very bent legs that appeared damaged in shipping, but Serena & Lily quickly shipped me replacements.

Review of Serena & Lily Items in our Omaha Kitchen
Moving inside, in our old kitchen, we had another group of favorites! Everything from our bistro counter stools to our basket pendant lights are included in the sale! Despite daily use, our counter stools look as good as the day we got them! If you missed my Riviera Counter Stool review you’ll definitely want to check it out! These are items we brought to Florida but sold once we arrived when we didn’t have space for them. As mentioned above, we repurchased them in the white swivel version for our long peninsula in our kitchen.

Review of Serena & Lily Items in our Omaha Pool House Dining Room
One of my favorite finds for the pool house was the California Dining Table. It was actually one of the items I ordered last and wasn’t as sure about. But we used it many times and were so happy with it. It’s incredibly sturdy and a great overall size for our needs. I did typically use a tablecloth with it because I didn’t want to damage it, but I can tell it’s significantly more durable than our indoor dining table (mentioned previously in the post). I also love the wood and teak combo – so pretty in person! The buyer’s of our home purchased this one from us so we no longer have it, but Kurtis has asked many times if we should buy it again. The Outdoor Riviera Dining Chairs have held up very well and are now at our vacation rental, Hola Beaches. A few did arrive bent initially due to shipping damage, but S&L was quick to send replacements!

Miscellaneous Serena & Lily Product Reviews
In our old entryway hallway, we have a few Serena & Lily favorites including our Blake Console Table, striped stools, and dipped vase. I have both sizes of the dipped vases, and while they are an investment, I have used them every day since I got them! They work so well regardless of season and work well with so many decorating styles! The raffia console table was also purchased by the new owners of our Omaha house, and despite years of use, it still looked great! I don’t feel like our coffee table version held up quite as well (since there was more use and friction on it) but overall we were happy with both of them! Update: After owning the Driftway Console Table, I would 100% recommend it over the Blake line. So much more durable and easier to care for! Until we tried the Driftway line, I don’t think we realized how much we had to baby the raffia.

This is an older picture from our Omaha den, but it shows the Market Coffee Table and Tulum Rug that we love so much (both were eventually moved to our pool house). We love just how wipeable the enamel top is on the coffee table, and that it lifts off for storage on the inside. I also just love all of their pillows so much! The new owners bought the rug but we brought the coffee table with us and it’s still a favorite!

In our last house in Florida, we used this striped rug that used to be in our living room, in our bedroom. It’s still one of my favorites through the years! It’s on clearance now plus the additional 20% off applies, so it’s the lowest price I’ve ever seen.

We bought the Avalon bed when we moved here, and it’s one of my favorites! It is currently out in our carriage house. They no longer offer this version with the more dramatic footboard, but in hindsight, I would have preferred this one for ease of making the bed. We’ve been really happy with it in the last year+ we’ve owned it and think it makes such a fun statement in an otherwise plain room.

Overall, the quality of the Serena & Lily products we have purchased over the years has been excellent. If you’re looking for a piece of furniture that will stand the test of time, they may be worth the investment. On some of the smaller items where you can find a look for less, the quality may not be of as much concern to you, so definitely weigh the pros and cons! I hope you found these Serena & Lily reviews to be helpful! And if Serena & Lily is outside of your budget, be sure to check out my Home Decor Looks for Less and Walmart Coastal Home Decor posts for a similar look at a lower price point!
Additional Serena & Lily Sale Picks
Following are a few other items that are on sale and worth noting:
- Serena & Lily is my favorite source for pillow inserts, and they are by far my favorite (particularly when on sale). I’ve found them to last the longest and stay the fullest. They’re an investment initially, but once you have a set on hand, they’ll last you for many, many years to come!
- We have this cute light fixture (white with blue shades option) in our powder bath. It’s such a cute fixture and we couldn’t be happier with it!
- I ordered a bunch of rug samples a while back to test out. Here’s a closer look at some of them in person if you had your eye on any of them! They’re also all included in the sale.

I have a similar porous round dining table from Restoration Hardware. It’s a concrete top and the designer told me it will stain from wine, salad dressings, etc. I decided to have a piece of glass cut for it so I don’t have to worry about it anymore. But it’s one more thing to dust! 😜
Sarah says
That’s great to know! I may go that route once we move so I don’t have to worry abou it any longer. I love the shape and texture so much otherwise!
Lauren says
Have you put the table to the test yet? Really want to buy but worried with small children and even party guest spilling. Thanks so much!!!!
Sarah says
Hi! We’ve definitely started using it a lot more recently without any issues. But I would still probably recommend having glass cut for it (or covering it during use) if you have kids or use it frequently! I still love the shape and look so much but spills or scuffs do take a bit of work to get out. I hope that helps!

Gorgeous! Really loved it everything you choose.
