Fun fact: my 30’s, summer and the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale all come to an end within the same week. As the saying goes, all good things must come to an end 😉 Today I’m sharing some of the fall fashion trends I’m loving most this year and pieces from the sale that fit in these trend categories!

It’s hard to believe, but the end of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is almost here! The sale ends Sunday, and while a lot of items have already sold out, there are still so many great pieces left – especially when it comes to Nordstrom Made Brands for the entire family! Plus, with free shipping and free returns, Nordstrom makes it easy to try some of these fall trends I’m sharing today! And, if you’re not already a member, you’ll also want to sign up for the free Nordy Club to earn points while you shop (regardless of how you pay – it doesn’t require their credit card)!

Now, let’s jump into some of my favorite fall fashion trends this year!

Casual But Polished Tops

Comfy tops that still make you look polished are key this fall, especially in the age of Zoom meetings and at-home offices! I’m loving this Caslon drape collar knit blazer! It can be worn as a light jacket or a blazer and the look can totally change depending on the top you wear under it! It also has pockets, and a nice fitted shape. I’m in a size Large and love the fit. This is one I would not be sad if I owned it in multiple colors! Side note: we took all these photos and I realized that I forgot to put mascara on. SERIOUSLY!? Thank heavens I was in sunglasses for most of the photos 😉

Oversized & Cozy Cardigans

Come fall, give me all the cozy clothes! This Treasure & Bond oversized cardigan is the perfect fall staple! It’s one of those pieces that can be worn very casually or can look more polished with skinny jeans and mules or taller boots and booties when it gets colder out! I’m wearing my usual size Large and I love that I can fully button the cardigan and it still fits over my hips and doesn’t pull! It looks just as cute left open, too, and is super soft!

Easy Mules

Coming off of flip flop season, I have a hard time jumping right into boots and booties as early fall rolls around. With that, I find myself gravitating towards easy-to-wear mules I can slip on and head out the door in. These Treasure & Bond mules are another favorite purchase from the sale! They fit very true to size and come in several colors and patterns. And they’re still in stock!

Olive Green Tops

It’s no secret that I’m loving all things olive colored this season! I think 3/4 of the items I bought from the sale were this pretty shade of green. I think it’s such a flattering color for most skin tones and is perfect for fall! There are lots of pretty olive green tops & sweaters still left as part of the sale! One of my favorite finds was this Caslon pintuck lace detail top (similar here)! I tried both the medium and large in the top, and while both would have worked, I kept the large because it had longer sleeves and more movement in the chest.

Camel Colored Coats

In years past, I’ve veered towards classic black coats for fall and winter. But this year I am loving camel-toned options. This Halogen wool coat (similar here) was one of my favorite purchases from the sale. It has an oversized fit (I’m wearing my regular size Large) and I love the longer length! Short Booties

I always love a good short bootie in the fall and the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is my favorite time to buy them! Why not get them on sale before the season even starts?! Following are some of my top bootie picks for fall.

Cute & Comfy Lounge Wear

Since “the office” may look a lot different for many of this year, I shared some of my cozy fall favorites last week. Items like these soft Zella pocket leggings topped my list, but Nordstrom has so many other cute options that are perfect for the work-from-home week as well as the weekend! Kurtis actually asked if they make joggers in the same material for men, and while it isn’t exact, we’re going to give this pair a try for him since they get excellent reviews!
