The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is live to the public today at 8:30 CST! Last week, I shared some quick snaps of the pieces I ordered from the sale but today I wanted to share some more details on a few cozy fall favorites and show them in a more real-life setting than just a mirror selfie. There are so many great pieces that are part of the sale this year, but my main focus was on all the comfy lounge wear, since we’re not leaving our home nearly as much as we used to.
As you likely already know, I love Nordstrom because of their huge selection as well as free shipping and returns. But the Anniversary Sale brings that love to another level! It has been a favorite of mine for a few decades because it allows you to buy pieces for the upcoming season on sale! If you’re not already a member, you’ll also want to sign up for the free Nordy Club to earn points while you shop (regardless of how you pay – it doesn’t require their credit card)!
As I mentioned, my main focus this year was on all things cozy! That meant investing in some quality lounge wear now that that seems to be all I’m wearing these days. Let’s dig in to a few of my favorites. I’ve also linked some similar options for those that may have already sold out or are close to selling out!
First I thought I’d share one of the pieces I didn’t get a chance to photograph last week, but both of these are two of my favorites from the sale! This Zella crewneck sweatshirt (similar here) may have the softest interior of anything I’ve ever felt! It’s essentially fleece but in a looser, fluffier weave. I love the length, the pockets and the side slits. It’s definitely warm and heavy, so may work best when it’s really cold out. And remember when I said I was going to plan my entire fall decor around this chunky throw blanket (similar here)? Once I got it and saw it in person, I was even more convinced of that. It’s so good! Kurtis even commented that it was long and wide enough for him to use, which isn’t always the case with a lot of throws!
And these leggings are the ones I raved about last week. They are super soft and I am so glad they now offer this version with pockets! Although they’re leggings, they have a cuff at the bottom so they look a bit more jogger-ish. They also aren’t super restricting like a lot of other leggings. But, with the high-waisted wide waistband that I love so much, they’re still flattering on! I’m wearing my usual size Large in both the leggings and the sweatshirt.
These Barefoot Dreams cozy socks (similar here) are a staple for me in the cooler months! They couldn’t be any softer on your feet and keep them so warm so I had to get another 2-pack this year! And if you haven’t tried these silk hair ties yet (similar here), you’re missing out! They are so much more gentle on your hair than traditional ties. I also love that I can wear them on my wrist all day in case I need one, yet they don’t indent my skin at all! They’re made by my favorite pillowcase brand (also included in the sale)! And if you’re looking for a lip treatment for dry fall and winter lips, I highly recommend this set! I usually get the coconut version, but I’m excited to try the Caramel for fall. The other two items in the kit are excellent to wear before bed and keep your lips super soft and hydrated.
This next look is actually featuring the same leggings in the lighter gray color, but instead paired with this lighter-weight cozy v-neck tunic. I’m also serving on this wood & marble serving board (similar here) I raved about last week! It’s the perfect way to make cozy meals at home feel more special!
I think I’m actually going to get a second color of the tunic because I love it so much. It’s looser and wider on the bottom, but has such a pretty drape so it doesn’t look boxy! I’m wearing a Large in both of these pieces as well.
If you’re working from home more and want to be cozy, but still look like you may be in “real” clothes for video calls, I’m loving this cozy colorblock pullover (similar here). I also have this version (similar here) and love them both so much! They are the super soft fabric that Gibson is known for, but look more like a sweater. Could this blue diagonal colorblock version be any more on brand for Life On Virginia Street?!
I paired it with these joggers (similar here) that come in the same material as the leggings. I love that the fabric is so soft and stretchy, but also breathable and doesn’t feel too hot since they aren’t lined with fleece like a lot of other joggers. And this Barefoot Dreams plaid blanket (similar here) isn’t usually draped over my chair. It’s usually on my lap because I’m always so cold in our office! This blanket couldn’t be cozier and the cats love it as much as we do. I think it’s going to be a really cute addition to our decor too, come fall and holiday season!
Following are even more of my favorite cozy picks from the sale! Click any of the images below to learn more about each of the items.
I’ll be sharing even more favorites from the sale, along with some remaining in-stock favorites, next week before the sale comes to a close. Happy shopping!
