Welcome to this week’s Wednesday Watch List, where I share the random things that captured my attention and stole my heart over the past week!

1 – You guys know I’m a sucker for a good accent wall. Are you prepared for your mind to be blown? This plaid accent wall is a DIY project completed by Gbeke at Simplicity for Designs. You can see tons of photos of the finished product in her master bedroom reveal or the full DIY plaid accent wall tutorial. I showed the project to Kurtis and he loved it so much he was already scheming ways he could add additional trim to our office board and batten grid wall! I’m not sure he or I have the patience to tackle something this meticulous though!

2 – I ordered this textured crewneck sweater for fall and although it hasn’t arrived yet, I wanted to share it while it’s on sale (and an additional 30% off your order at checkout)! I ordered it in the olive stripe, but also considered the navy or black options too. I love that it has a slightly longer tunic length and with the wider weave, I think it will be lightweight enough to wear fairly early in the season. Such a cute and classic look!

3 – J. Crew is hosting a pretty killer sale right now with an extra 60% off sale styles with code SHOPNOW. Some pieces like this gorgeous embroidered linen flutter-sleeve top are included! You can see all the eligible sale items here. It’s not just summer items – lots of great transitional pieces for fall are included too! Full-priced styles are currently 25% off with the discount code, as well!

I used the top in the following collage I created a few weeks ago and many of the other pieces are also on sale right now!

COLLAGE SOURCES: Block Print Ruffle Dress | Sunglasses | Kendra Scott Earrings | Embroidered Linen Top | High Waist Cropped Jeans | Flutter Sleeve Ruffle Collar Top | Rattan Circle Barrette | Woven Bag | Striped Embroidered Tunic | White Denim Jean Shorts | Woven Mules | Floral Statement Earrings | Palm Coin Necklace | Fringe Hoop Earrings | Ruffle Swimsuit | Tortoise Skinny Headband | Striped Dress

4 – I ran across this woven leather bag the other day and couldn’t stop thinking about all the woven suede goodness! Such a gorgeous fall bag! I also tried to find a look for less alternative, and while not exact, I did find this cute woven shoulder bag with good reviews for about a fourth of the price! I don’t think you could go wrong with either option!

5 – I actually bought this book several months ago, and am still going through it. It’s one you don’t want to rush because every page is filled with so much inspiration, both in the photos and writing. But it’s a must if you’re on the hunt for some incredible home inspiration. I find I’m enjoying it even more as we approach fall.

How does the Amazon Olive tree compare to the PB one?

I don’t have personal experience with the PB one, but have seen it and like it! The Amazon one is definitely much more narrow and I don’t love how the branches are essentially sawed off partway up to accommodate the stems. But for the price, I really like it! The leaves and olives look pretty impressive 🙂
