Dining Room Light Alternatives: Part II

Decorating Ideas, Tips and Trends, Room Makeovers + Design Plans

I was completely blown away by all of the feedback I got on my Dining Room Light Alternatives post last week. Between the blog, Facebook and Instagram I received a ton of great advice and multiple requests to see more rectangular lights, similar to my original inspiration light from my initial plans. It seems there was quite the mix of opinions overall, but today I’m back to show you those rectangular options for those that requested more looks. You’ll quickly realize why I didn’t show any rectangular lights in my initial post… it’s nearly impossible to get the angles right and the backgrounds totally erased to get an accurate feel, but at least you’ll get the idea.

As a side note: I know the room still looks really cold and slightly too modern for my tastes as it stands. BUT, once I add some hopefully amazing textiles {once I find them} I know it is going to be the perfect space for us!

{Original Choice - Darlana Pendant}
{Original Choice – Darlana Pendant – still my favorite!}
{Eldridge Chandelier}
{Eldridge Chandelier – the closest look I can find to the Darlana above}
{Clarissa Glass Drop Chandelier}
{Clarissa Glass Drop Chandelier}
{Antique Silver Drop Chandelier}
{Antique Silver Drop Chandelier – a more affordable version of the Clarissa above – would also coordinate well with our entryway light}

And, just to keep things exciting, I’m throwing in a few other fun finds:

{Jesse Brass Chandelier}

{Zuo Mica Ceiling Light}

{Celestine Rope Chandelier}

So, do any of these change your favorite? Which one would you pick? Honestly, I don’t feel like I love any as much as I love my original choice.  Time to search evening harder or start saving my pennies. I promise one day soon I’ll have this room wrapped up in a pretty bow to share with you!

    I’m not sure if the finish is what you are looking for but check out this one: http://lightingconnection.com/products/archibald-linear-chandelier. And they were great to work with on my kitchen lights. Gave me a nice discount to use and offered my readers a discount as well.

    I prefer the Jesse Brass Chandelier as it is in keeping with the round mirror and round tray on the dining room table.

    Antique silver drop chandelier and your original one Both seem lighter (not so dark and heavy) and would balance out the other darker pieces in the room.

    I say 3 or 4. You need a little bling in your dining room! Shouldn’t every girl be able to see some sparkle after slaving to cook a meal for family and friends?!

    I still prefer the ones from your first “showing.” Nothing stood out for me in this group. Good luck!

    I really don’t think you can go wrong, but my favorite is the rope chandelier. It adds such a fun element, and I think it would be beautiful against your otherwise traditional decor. Can’t wait to see what you choose! 🙂

    I still love the original the most–it just seems to fit best with the room. The antique silver drop is so pretty and looks like it works well, too–it’s good to have options!

    I love the Zuo Mica light. It looks wonderful with your mirror. When I see all those panes of glass in the other fixtures I get that “how on earth do you keep that clean & dust-free”? thought!

    I see why you’re smitten with the original – still my fave! But #2 is a budget friendly second option, cause you know – budgets. Sigh. 🙂
