After moving to the beach a few years ago, I’m finding it more and more difficult to get excited to decorate for fall. I actually love the changing seasons, but always find myself wanting to hold onto summer just a little bit longer (especially when we have visitors in town). Add in all the decisions I’m having to make right now related to our new build, and fall became less of a priority. I kept postponing this year’s tour, thinking I’d decorate a few more spaces with it likely being our last fall in this home. But at this point, I feel like I need to start working on Christmas so we can enjoy it for a month or so once it’s finished! So today, I’m sharing the areas in our home I decorated (fairly simply) for fall.

In our entryway, I kept out most of my usual decor but swapped out my stems for the season to these faux acorn oak leaves. I always love how brown and shades of blue pair so nicely together.

One of my favorite features of our current home is the lighthouse-style entryway! It’s always so bright, with windows on three sides of the space. We have the lamp on a timer, set to turn on around sunset, which has felt odd being an hour earlier the last few days.

Moving down into our kitchen, I really only added these faux oak leaves to my vase, and a rosemary-scented candle. Super easy, but it definitely changes the vibe a bit!

This striped runner rug has held up so great for us over the years, even in the kitchen! Although the directions don’t recommend it, I’ve thrown it in the washing machine several times and it always looks good as new!

Snippets of fall, mixed in with my seashell dumping station.

FALL KITCHEN SOURCES: Woven Shade (color: Bonaire Flaxen) | Striped Runner Rug | Cabinet Knobs | Woven Chandeliers (look for less options here) | Vase | Faux Oak Leaves | Woven Tray | Silver Tray | Faucet | Pot Filler | Marble Tray | Mandarin Basile Hand Soap | Tuscan Rosemary Candle | Swivel Counter Stools | Wall & Trim Color: Sherwin Williams Snowbound
Standing in the kitchen at the peninsula, here is the view out to our living room and our screened-in porch beyond that.

I decided to use green tones this fall and I’m really loving them here!

Despite the change of seasons, I always leave out a few reminders that we’re still at the beach!

These Belgian linen pillow covers never let me down, and I’m loving the Citron version I added to my collection this year. They pair so beautifully with these velvet patterned pillow covers.

Sadly our living room chairs are no longer available, but I always love the added texture their backs provide.

FALL LIVING ROOM SOURCES: Sofas (read my full review here) | Chairs | Coffee Table | Indoor/Outdoor Striped Rug | Linen Pillow Covers (color: Citron) | Velvet Patterned Pillows | Frame TV | Vase | Faux Fan Palm Leaves | Faux Leaf Coral | “Surf Tribe” Coffee Table Book | “Joie” Coffee Table Book | “Beach Life” Coffee Table Book | Console Table | Lamps | Clamshell | 8′ Tree | Basket | Acrylic Side Tables | Woven Shades (color: Bonaire Flaxen) | Wall & Trim Paint Color: Sherwin Williams Snowbound
Moving upstairs into our bedroom, I kept things fairly simple again, but added some additional layers to our bedding. I honestly don’t recall a time when I was more excited to climb into bed at night as I am with this bedding from Quince. It’s all just so nice! I went with their linen sheets and linen duvet cover (which have that soft, lived-in feel) and then their larger gauze blanket (we have several of the throw blanket size and already loved them). It’s all so just cozy but also breathable and I love it all so much!

I added my favorite faux oak leaves on the nightstand, and some velvet moss-colored pillows to bring in the season a bit.

This view from the bathroom with the striped wallpaper peeking out never gets old!

It’s all just so comfy and cozy in here now!

FALL BEDROOM SOURCES: Bead Chandelier | Pinch Pleat Curtains (Beige White) | Curtain Rods (1.25″ diameter) – look for less here | Curtain Rings | Blue Linen Bed (look for less here) | Nightstands (look for less here) | European Linen Sheets | European Linen Duvet Cover | Gauze Blanket | Velvet Pillow Covers (moss) | Long Linen Lumbar Pillow Cover (ivory) | Lamps | Vase (large) | Faux Oak Leaves | Rug | Bench | Striped Wallpaper | Wall and Trim Color: Sherwin Williams Snowbound
And that wraps up my fall decorating for the season. I hope you enjoyed this year’s little fall home tour! My holiday decor will likely be coming at you in the next few weeks!
