Weekend Sales + What I’ve Kept and What I’ve Returned Recently

With our trip to Italy less than a week away, I feel like I’ve way over-ordered on clothes. But, since I never know what will fit well and what won’t I prefer to order extra and return what I don’t need. Today, in addition to sharing some great weekend sales, I thought I’d let you know what I’ve loved and what I’ve returned recently in preparation for our trip (and summer)!

Thankfully I love them all 😉 The orange jumpsuit is gorgeous, but made for someone with a shorter torso. It is really beautiful in real life and I feel like the bow-front is flattering! The embroidered top is every bit as beautiful as the reviews suggested, and I’m sort of loving this striped dress.

J. Crew Factory – Have I expressed my love for this store recently? Even though we have a store about 15 minutes away, I find I still order online with them because their sizing is so consistent. Half of my suitcase to Italy will be full of J. Crew Factory. Surprisingly, this colorful top may be my new favorite. And this knotted striped tee is my new favorite tee! LOFT – 30% off everything (or 40% off with a LOFT card) with code LOVEMOM. I stopped in to the store yesterday to see some items in person and I went a bit crazy! There are so many cute things right now. There’s actually even a bigger selection online because my store didn’t care many of the cute things I found on their site. This gingham shorts are my absolute new favorite! They’re a bit shorter than I typically buy so I sized up for a looser fit. This embroidered top is every bit as cute in person as I hoped it to be. I’ve seen so many people online wearing it lately and it seems to work on so many body types! What I bought yesterday:

Nordstrom – I ordered these shoes but they’re going back. I took a chance when the reviews said they ran small. I wear a size 10 and that’s the largest size they make and unfortunately they are too tight. But I would have kept them if I could have gotten a half size bigger. They are super cute and fun for summer.

This jumpsuit also has to go back. I am absolutely obsessed with it, however, my torso is too long so it was definitely pulling in areas. I’m 5’8″ and it nearly hit the floor on me (which I loved so I could wear heels with it too) but I didn’t want to be tugging on it. Recommended if you have a shorter torso or aren’t quite as tall!

But, in good news, this white ruffle top is so good and may be my favorite purchase of the season! It keeps going in and out of stock (with good reason!). It’s also available here.

Old Navy – Always a favorite place for me to check for trendy items that I know I can get at a great price. This striped dress was a favorite purchase. I have such a hard time getting t-shirt dresses to look right on me (or they’re too short). I ended up trying to sizes in this, and actually went up a size for a looser fit. It has darts on the bust so it still has a great fitted look! I love the palm print version as well, but felt I only needed one version. Pottery Barn – There isn’t an an-encompassing sale going on right now, but gift ideas for mom are up to 40% off, and they have tons of items marked down up to 70% off here for their spring event. I bought these striped outdoor pillows in the ivory/cobalt colorway for the pool this year. You can also get the pillow here (even though it’s smaller).

Talbots – Bet you didn’t see that one coming! I typically feel like this store serves an older demographic than me, but I was flipping through a magazine and saw this really cute top. It actually doesn’t look all that special on their website, but in the magazine spread (I can’t even remember which magazine) it was perfection. I love the pom pom detail around the neck. As with many site, if you spend a certain amount, you get free shipping and there was a sale that day so I looked around. I think I ended up ordering four items! These striped shorts are the only item that has arrived but they are my new all-time favorite. They fit perfectly and I love the style.
