I hope you all had a great weekend! Just like that, we’ve suddenly reached the week of Christmas and 2025 will be here before we know it. It’s truly unbelievable how quickly this year went by. Here’s a bit of what we’ve been up to over the past week or so!

Home Projects & Updates
I wanted to mention that this designer look for less lamp that we used in the Hola Beaches Casita primary bedroom has finally been restocked in white! It usually sells quickly with each re-stock so I wanted to mention it while it’s still available! The budget-friendly nightstand has also finally been re-stocked and was a top seller this week.

Here’s a pic of the lamp when it arrived last spring compared to the designer version for reference. It’s such a great find! Most other attempts don’t have the same matte finish, which I think really ups the luxe factor.

Now that our Christmas decor has been up since the week of Halloween, I’m already getting the itch to start taking it down. I told Kurtis to not be surprised if I start on Thursday. I promised to leave our living room decorated through New Year’s but all bets are off on the rest of the house!

Around Town & For Fun
We had a late start to the week, since we traveled home from Nebraska/Iowa on Monday. It made the week fly by even more quickly, which I wasn’t quite ready for!
Mid-week, we headed to Seaside for dinner with our friends Chris and Rachel and their boys. We had dinner at Great Southern and then wandered around town because it’s always so cute this time of year! Rachel and I even ran into Santa walking down the street!
Seriously the cutest Christmas vibes! Kurtis and I need to get over to Rosemary Beach next some time this week. If you’re local, I’d also love to hear your favorite spot for Christmas Eve service! We usually aren’t in town for the holiday.
I haven’t shared this previously (partly because it’s a pretty recent development), but the six of us are headed on a catamaran charter mid-January for a week! Rachel partnered with the owners and asked if we were able to join in on the fun. We can’t wait! So, the dinner was to nail down our food and drink preferences so we could get them submitted before our trip. Kurtis and I have done something similar ten years ago through my job back when I worked in insurance, and it was one of the best trips we’ve ever taken. So we’re really looking forward to it! I’ll be sure to share more once we return.
With that, Kurtis and I are doing the Prolon 5-Day Nutrition Program. I’ve completed three or four times in the past, but this will be a first for him (even though he’s done a three day water fast before)! We always like to have a hard reset after the end of a year, especially after indulging in the holidays and I’ve always enjoyed this program. Here’s what I wore in Seaside. Also proof that I did my hair before the fog had its way with it 😉 I’m loving these memory foam bow flats from Target! I’ve had this sweater (also here and here) for over three years now and still love it – and the new colors it’s available in!

Kurtis and I had our annual The Holiday viewing on Friday night, so I decided to make Christmas Fettucine! We used this recipe this year and it was by far the best one I’ve tried. We added shrimp and it was so delicious! Definitely not healthy but for a once a year event, it’s totally worth it!
Saturday night was the raincheck night for Rachel and I to watch The Holiday. We had planned to right before Thanksgiving and then both got really sick so we had to reschedule. But she had never seen it before (like how?!?!) so it was my mission to get it in yet this holiday season. I think she loved it and sees why I do too!
Sunday we took it pretty easy. We started with a late morning walk through some of the new builds in our neighborhood with Rachel and Kurtis watched some football. Then I made this Zuppa Toscana soup for dinner (still a favorite!) that uses cauliflower instead of potato, and we watched a Christmas movie followed by a little Yellowstone.
It’s still so hard to believe that Christmas Eve is tomorrow! We’re trying to soak up all the last-minute holiday vibes! I’ll be popping in with some posts over the next week of holidays. But I know many of you may be signing off (or already have) for the week. I want to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

I have the Chambray colored fabric samples and those would be close (it looks more gray online) but maybe a smidge darker than ours.
