Home Projects & Updates
Things were a bit slow on the home front this week while we had friends in town, but I’m halfway through prepping our fall home tour so look forward to sharing that soon!

I also wanted to quickly mention that we are switching property managers for Hola Beaches at the end of this month. Nothing will change with Hola Beaches Casita (we’re moving the house over to this same property manager). Around Town & For Fun
Our besties and goddaughters from Omaha arrived on Tuesday and we spent most of the week with them. Elle was pretty excited to get her hands in the sand that first night.
One day, we headed to Panama City Beach and rented a pontoon for half a day. Despite a rocky start, it was a really fun day on the water! Sadly, Shell Island was full of biting flies due to the wind direction, so we didn’t hang around long. But it was fun to get out on the water for a few hours. We even saw some dolphins!
We did some relaxing but also a lot of pool time at various pools around town.
The girls love The Big Chill where both of our rentals are in Prominence. Friday night they got face painting and went to the kids dance party!
Saturday night, we celebrated Elle turning four with an Elsa, mermaid, swimming, pizza party! It was overcast most of the day, but it didn’t stop the girls from swimming in our “kid pool” (aka our hot tub that we weren’t heating or running bubbles in) for hours on end.
I’m not sure I’ve seen a kid more excited for a party. She’s talked about it for a month straight and loved every single second of it!
Sunday we had a girls day, because the guys wanted to go watch football for a few hours. So, the girls headed to the beach club for lunch, beach time, and a few hours at the pool. I’m pretty sure these little fish would be in the water every day if they could! We then all met back up for dinner.
Dippin’ Dots to end their Florida memories. We sure love this family!
It’s always tough to say goodbye, so we say “see you soon”. We’re already looking forward to seeing them again in December!
Kurtis and I are kicking off the rest of the year with healthier eating and more activity starting today. Nothing like a week of eating like crap to motivate you 😉 But it will be nice to get back into a routine again now that his travels are mostly done for the year.
It’s a major week for sales with Way Day ending today, Prime Big Deal Days tomorrow, Target Circle week in effect and Walmart Deals Days starting tomorrow. I’ll be sharing full coverage tomorrow for all, but most have previews available thru those links.
Sadly, there is another major hurricane that is approaching Florida this week. Based on current models, we likely won’t see any impact in the panhandle, but much of the state will be affected. Please continue to pray for our state as well as all of the devastating effects of Hurricane Helene! Stay safe this week!
