Home Projects & Updates
We had a few projects to wrap up these past few weeks over at Hola Beaches. Once was replacing the old rug in one of the upstairs bedrooms. We went with this new striped jute rug for a beachy feel. We’d used this same rug style in our Omaha home, and the price was right so we used it again! The furniture in this room came with the house, so although it isn’t 100% the style I want in here, it works until this room becomes more of a priority for replacement! I definitely want to get that fan swapped out for an all white option though! We’ve used similar options to this one in other rooms and love it!

I mentioned we also bought these upholstered swivel chairs for the living room. I’m really happy with how they look, and so far multiple people have said they’re comfy! Additionally, I found this cute “Local” pillow we added to the space. You can’t see it in the photo but it has a cute little grommet in one corner so it reminds me of a flag. Also, don’t worry, I cut the rug pad down after taking this picture 😉

We also ordered some replacement blinds for a few of the windows and doors, but they didn’t arrive in time before a guest arrived last week. So, we’re hoping to wrap up some of those final projects this coming weekend!
I also wanted to let you know that these rattan parasol lamps we used in our last house as well as in our carriage house have been restocked! I know a lot of you have been waiting for them! Also shown are my favorite real-touch faux tulips (the best for spring decor!) and our rattan side chairs that are currently on sale (such a great look for less)!

Around Town & For Fun
As I shared last week, my in-laws were in town throughout this whole week too. The weather wasn’t ideal for most of their stay, but still much warmer than Iowa!
One night we had Amici happy hour pizza and then headed into Rosemary Beach for some ice cream. The Christmas lights are still up and it looks so beautiful in the evenings. We ended most nights with a game of pinochle at our house.
Here are my outfit details that night. I was standing a bit oddly to try and get a view of my earrings. They’re actually named the Corrine, which is also my mother-in-law’s name!

Valentine’s Day, we headed down to the beach for a bonfire, s’mores, and dinner at our beach club. It was definitely a bit chilly out by the time the sun set, but it was worth the stay for the beautiful colors!
I also attended a Galentine’s Day party at my friend Rachel’s house on Thursday night. It was such a fun evening and nice to catch up with some friends I hadn’t seen for some time. The other three stayed at home to watch the Iowa girls’ basketball game.
The weather towards the end of the week turned cold and rainy. So, we decided to head into Sandestin for lunch and an escape room on Saturday during the day. That night (their last night here), we headed down to pizza at Bruno’s followed by Bingo at the Big Chill. Sadly, we didn’t win at either round of games, but we had a lot of fun!
We ended their stay with breakfast Sunday morning before saying our goodbyes. It was a great ten days and we hope to see them both again soon!
Our nearly five weeks of visitors has come to an end for the time being. Next up is our niece who will be visiting for Spring Break in March!
Kurtis and I are both counting down the days until our vacation next week! We’ve never been to Anguilla before so would love any tips or must-see/do ideas if you’ve been there before. We’re really looking forward to it! If there are any details or info you’re looking for while we’re there, feel free to comment and we’ll do our best to share once we’re back!
