I apologize I skipped out on last week’s Wednesday Watch List, but it was a busy weekend prior to heading out to Las Vegas. But, I’m back with some amazing finds!

1 – Seriously, how is it the last week of July?!? My heart is a little sad just thinking about it. I really do need to live somewhere with a perpetual summer. This board I created a year or two back on Pinterest just makes me giddy everytime I look at the images. If you need some summer beauty as August draws a little too near, check it out.

2 – I’m pretty much freaking out over these scalloped shorts from The Gap. I can’t wait until they arrive…hopefully before I leave to Utah next week! I feel like the inseam is a good length {although I borderline contemplated ordering the long length}. Regardless, I think the scallop is such a pretty silhouette on legs! I was even more giddy after I came across this post {which I wrote several years back} when I made the switch over to WordPress. And speaking of great Gap finds, I ended up also purchasing the dress I posted about here in the blush color as well. I couldn’t believe how many compliments I got on it at Haven. And did I mention it has pockets!?! 😉

3 – I came across this kitchen makeover from Shea McGee, and the before and after images stopped me dead in my tracks. It looks SO close to our currently kitchen in terms of layout {for the most part}, countertops and cabinet colors. I’m excited for the potential if we ever move forward with our update plans.

4 – My girl Shayna from The Wood Grain Cottage introduced me and some other ladies to ‘All About That Bass’ at Haven and I have heard it over and over on Sirius radio ever since. Not only do I love the song, but I love it even more with the video. Highly recommend checking out this fun pop song if you haven’t heard it yet. But let’s be real. Any song that encourages bigger booties, I’m all for  😉

5 – While attending Haven, I heard AMAZING things about this lens {including in the session with Kristin at The Hunted Interior and Lucy from Craftberry Bush}. It’s considered a cheapie by DSLR standards and it helps to create those perfect shots with your focal point in focus and that beautiful blurry background {it allows for a f/1.8 for all of you pros}. Consider this on my birthday list {hint, hint – parents and husband}. It’s made of plastic {which makes it cheaper} but it sounds as though if you are semi-careful and don’t just throw it around, it can take everyday, minor abuse and it takes beautiful photos. Definitely a must for me. If you’re interested in my other current photography gear, check out this post.

Hilarious song. And..you know I love that dress! Did you order true to size? I think I might pull the trigger with my 40% off!

For the most part true to size, but I think it maybe ran a tad bit big. Meaning I don’t feel like I’m quite as small as the size I bought if that makes sense.

Okay, I am dying over those shorts and will be ordering them basically immediately. I’m toying with the striped dress too (so basically I will be copying your wardrobe exactly) but am wondering about the length. I think we’re about the same height – I’m 5’8″ with a freakishly short torso and long hips/legs so am thinking maybe the tall would be best for me? How did you feel about the length?

I’m 5’8″ also. It only felt short to me when I was sitting down and it felt like there was no fabric to actually sit on 😉 The torso felt a little short to me which may actually work out better for you if you have a short torso. On my second order, I kept the same length, but if you order the longer I’d definitely be interested to hear how it fits!!
