Two things I am completely enamored with lately: dresses {for work} and scalloped clothing.

The last few years, my office has had a super casual dress code.  Meaning, we can wear whatever we want to the office unless we have visitors {when we then have to wear suits, etc.}  I find it hard to strike a balance between being casual, yet still wearing office appropriate clothing – so for me, it is just as easy to dress up.  With all the travel I have been doing lately, I am sick of suits.  I feel like a wannabe Wall Street banker or something.  So, I have been loving dresses with a suit-like feel.

{This one from Banana Republic arrived in my email inbox today and I LOVE it.   Just waiting for a 40% off code or something}
J.Crew ALWAYS nails this look.  I would never think to layer a white button-up under any of these put it just looks so polished!

{I will likely be buying this one this week.  Not only is it on clearance but they are doing an additional 30% off clearance right now}
{I saved this picture a while back – also from J.Crew – and although I don’t know what dress it is – I think it’s the same one above, I really love the whole look}
{I actually just bought this one two days ago on clearance plus an additional 30% off.  Now it is full price again?!?  The J. Crew Director Dress in Pinstripe Super 120’s wool in navy}

I am also loving scalloped details.  I first saw this photo on Pinterest:

Not only is it sold out, I saw the price for the matching jacket {$2,270 regularly but on sale for a bargain price of $795}.  Riiiiiiggggghhtt.  That will happen NEVER.  So I began a Google search for something similar and came across a lot of cute options.

These shorts are by far my favorite, but they would have to be shipped from the UK.  But, scallops and lace?  Perfect.

Can you tell I am really bored with my husband out of town?
