1 – So, I pretty much consider myself a dry shampoo connoisseur. I have a TON of hair but it gets oily quickly. I try to only wash my hair every other day to avoid using a blow dryer on a daily basis {and because sometimes I’d rather sleep}. By day two, however, my hair is looking a little dirty already. Not only does dry shampoo have to leave my hair looking clean and add some texture, it needs to smell amazing. Every other dry shampoo I had used in the past {this was my prior favorite} was an aerosol spray. My new favorite is actually a powder and seems SO much more effective {albeit, much pricier}. You just sprinkle it on and massage it in {doesn’t take much at all for great results}. It doesn’t leave behind the look of powder {no more gray looking roots} because it is iridescent. I’ve considered it worth the price after I purchased it a few weeks back while at a dry bar with my blogging buddy Mandy {you can read her post on it here}.

2 – On Monday I was in a panic for my Haven preparations. Not only had I NOT ordered business cards, I hadn’t planned my outfits {crisis, right?} Especially since I had to work Monday thru today this week! But, on my lunch hour Monday I found this dress and bought it on the spot. Very Kate-Spade-ish, right? At 40% off, it came in at less than fifty bucks. Sold. It does an amazing job of hiding my booty and hips since it flares on the lower half. Double sold. And did I mention it has pockets {and also comes in pale pink?!}. I consider it a tad bit short for me {I’m 5’8″} but I figure I’ll be surrounded by ladies so it won’t be quite as scandalous 😉

3 – When I read this post from Cottage & Vine back in June, my fiddle leaf fig was pretty much dead. As in, it had only six leaves left 🙁 So, I figured it didn’t hurt to try Rene’s advice. Since then, mine has lived in the courtyard (on the shady side) and seems to be thriving. The remaining six leaves have perked up drastically {surviving almost solely on rain water and Oscmocote). I have high hopes that this thing may be a beauty again some day! I’ll keep you posted and let you know if this is the route to save a struggling fig tree!

{This picture is from March – not sure how it was nearly almost dead by mid-May when I’d had it since last fall. But I’m going to go with the fact I never watered it.}

4- I just found out that my beloved Lindsay Letters is doing a Christmas in July sale until July 31st. She has some killer deals including a sale on the famous ‘O Holy Night‘ canvas that I have. There are also a bunch of prints for only $10. I know it isn’t as festive to buy holiday pieces in July but the savings are ridiculous!

5 – Isn’t it funny when you pin images on Pinterest and then later find out that some of your favorites actually came from the same house? That happened with the last home I featured and it happened again recently with this one. Specifically with these two photos. What’s not to love? It’s worth your time to check out the remainder of the images from this beautiful home tour.

    Love that dress! I was debating on getting it myself. Too cute and would go with everything! I had to revive my fiddle leaf fig recently. It was looking quite sad. Hope I get to meet you at Haven! You are going to have a blast!
