1 – Every time I see images from this cute & cozy space from Brooke Wagner Design, I keep thinking I want to do a similar vibe in our carriage house. Shortly after we moved into our house last fall, we had to quickly get the carriage house ready for family that was arriving shortly after and staying for three weeks. Since that time, we’ve had a pretty steady flow of guests so I haven’t had time to do any additional updates. Since our carriage house is a little getaway for our friends and family, I figure we can make it a fun “Florida” space. Patterns and colors and gallery walls that might seem a bit extreme if I have to look at them daily, but can feel like a fun getaway for more temporary guests! I’m a huge fan of these oversized gallery wall frames (that now come in more stains and multiple mat options) and these and these are a good budget option. I thought it might be fun to start framing black and white photos of all of our friends and family as they visit and create a collection in the space! This idea could also be done in a guest room, or really wherever! I have a whole post dedicated to simple and affordable artwork ideas if you’re interested!

3 – I’m starting to see bobbin frames pop up more and more. In fact, I had these prepared to share and then noticed some in Serena & Lily’s new art collection that launched this morning! I’m really loving the colors of these bobbin frames on Etsy. There are four colors and three sizes available. You could definitely make it a DIY project too, but I personally don’t think I’d have the patience to glue all those bobbins on straight and then still paint it. Ha! There are more color options here, but note that those do not include the mat.

4 – If you’re on the hunt for an outdoor umbrella, there are so many cute budget options out there right now! These bring all the Serena & Lily vibes for less! We actually have owned three of the options in the graphic below over the years 🙂 I ordered these umbrellas to try out this year!
