Welcome to this week’s Wednesday Watch List, where I share the random things that captured my attention and stole my heart over the past week!

1 – I really enjoyed this French Transitional home tour from Patterson Custom Homes, Brandon Architects and Brooke Wagner Design. Every detail is breathtaking (including that gorgeous pool house)! Definitely check out the louvered arched wood doors in the kitchen too. So unique!

2 – J. Crew just launched a bunch of new releases for late fall and early holiday! Lots of cozy bright colors, tartan plaids, and fall basics. There are so many cute finds, and this buffalo check flannel shirt immediately caught my eye. It also comes in blue, but for some reason, the green drew me in this time around. And right now, it’s nearly 50% off! They also have 40% off tons of new items with code SHOPFALL, and if you’re a cardholder, use code CARDLOVE for an additional 20% off! Be sure to also check out this cute lace-collar/sleeve sweatshirt, this cableknit cardigan and this fair isle snowflake sweater – both on sale!

3 – I added these velvet pillow covers to my Florida Coastal Cottage design plans, and by the time I went to order them, they had sold out! But I’m happy to report they’ve been restocked in all colors! I particularly love these because of the contrasting linen trim, as well as the unique color offerings! I’m especially interested in the Dark Olive and Ocean colors (shocker), but they’re all so great (Cumin is another favorite)! Some colors, like Ocean, actually come in five different shapes and sizes! Velvet is my favorite type of fabric to use on pillows from fall all the way through the end of winter.

4 – Today and tomorrow only, Wayfair has brought back their Way Day sale, with items marked up to 80% off and everything ships free! It’s essentially like Prime Day round two all over again, but this time with furniture and home decor. The sale also extends to their sister sites like Joss & Main and All Modern (both sites up to 50% off).

You can see all the Way Day categories here. A few sale items to note:

  • This upholstered bed, that is a great look for less to our Pottery Barn version, is 39% off today!
  • These designer look for less rattan counter stools are nearly 10% off.
  • Be sure to check out the Way Day Christmas trees, as well as the Joss & Main sale options, if you’re on the hunt for one this year!
  • There are lots of incredible deals on rugs, as well. The sale includes several Annie Selke/Dash & Albert rugs (one of my personal favorite brands)!
  • This look for less pendant light is the lowest price I’ve seen it before – available in four finishes.

5 – Since moving to Florida and LVP floors on a concrete slab, I’ve needed to wear cushioned slippers around the house most days. However, this time of year, I find my feet get way too hot when I’m running around if I wear closed-toe slippers. I’ve owned these cozy slide sandals for about a year and have been reaching for them so much these past few weeks. This pair is another favorite. The footbed is even more comfy in terms of cushion, but doesn’t have the faux fur bed if you prefer that. I highly recommend both options! They keep my feet warm enough this time of year (but not too hot) and also help me to not have sore feet at the end of the day!

Congratulations on your move to Florida! Your design style couldn’t be more perfect for the move to the Sunshine State.

I enjoy reading your posts, and the Wed Watch post always includes great resources. I have a special mail folder just for you!

One comment/fyi in response to this week’s post: Be very careful about bare feet on those FL floors! I live in SW Florida and, of course, the floors are either concrete or tile. The WORST for feet! It’s very common to develop foot problems which can take many months to recover from, and you’re very smart to wear slippers (and they’re cute too!). A cushy pair of flip flops for interior wear works well too.

Again, congratulations on the move and hoping your building project goes smoothly.

Thank you so much Carol! And I appreciate the tip! I could feel pretty quickly I was going to have sore feet if I didn’t start wearing SOMETHING! Definitely not something we’re used to, and didn’t realize how much more cushy a floor is when you have a basement below you!
