Wednesday Watch List

Wednesday Watch List

Welcome to this week’s Wednesday Watch List, where I share the random things that captured my attention and stole my heart over the past week!

First, I would like to thank you all for your sweet comments and prayers regarding Kurtis’ surgery. The doctor said everything went well and he should be off crutches in about six weeks or so. He had some nausea and pain once we got home last night, but we’re hoping that mostly goes away within the next few days. Thank you again for all of your love!

1 – I’m loving all the architectural details (inside and out) in this Garden Cottage project from Pursley Dixon Architecture! It’s all a total dream!

2 – I bought this side snap tunic sweater during the Anniversary Sale and it’s now back in four colors and available in most sizes – and it’s 40% off! They recommend sizing down, but since I wanted to wear it truly as a tunic with a little length for leggings, I ordered my regular size large. The medium worked for me too, but I was just more comfy in the larger size. If you don’t have large hips/butt I would say order down. So cute for the winter months!

3 – Over the past few months, I’ve slowly been looking at living room chairs. Kurtis hates our current spindle chairs (we have the Bevin Natural fabric), although it’s only really been a topic of discussion most recently with his surgery on the horizon. His dream would be to get recliners (likely not happening due to the very limited space we have between a coffee table and our island chairs). The chairs are only really used when we have guests here, as we’re otherwise always on the sofas. Admittedly, I feel like the spindle chairs are more for conversations in a more formal setting and not lounging. I’ve likely told you this exact thing over the years if you’ve considered getting them and asked my advice 😉 They’ve gotten comfier over time, but that also means the polyfill back cushions are getting more limp (especially as Henley continues to sleep on the back of one of them). Long story short(ish), I think these chairs look like a viable alternative. I love the look (tons of fabric options too), the fact they swivel, the price is great and the reviews are excellent. I’m in no rush to make a decision though, so I’ll likely look for several more months before I really decide on anything! Just thought I’d share this find if any of you are also in the market for chairs!

4 – Want to know my latest hobby? Shaving fabric. I only wish I was kidding 😉 I bought this fabric shaver about a month ago and I keep finding new ways to use it almost daily. It’s strangely addicting. lol. It has completely brought my Lululemon leggings back to life (I put them in the dryer even though I know I’m not supposed to, which has caused a lot of pilling and lint build-up). It’s cleaned up all my sweaters and even works great on furniture. Best $8 I’ve spent in a long time – even if Kurtis makes fun of how much I love it – and how long it’s taken for me to find the value in one!

5 – This wine chiller was a last minute addition to my Christmas wish list. It comes in five chic color options and keeps wine and champagne chilled for hours in the vacuum-insulated, stainless-steel canister. I’ve heard nothing but great things about it and the reviews are excellent! Yes, please!

Wishing your husband a quick recovery. My husband had hip surgery and has done really well. Icing the hip and having a comfortable chair bolstered with cushions is very important. The higher chair makes it easier to get up and down.
I enjoy your blog with great decorating tips.
Thank you and have a great holiday!

Ooo somehow missed that sweater during the anniversary sale, but it’s currently on it’s way to me! Thanks for the fit tip! We’re very similar sizing, so hopefully the Large works out for me too!

Ha! I just bought 2 gorgeous spindle chairs which have long been on my bucket list. I’m almost certain my husband will despise them! I guess I’d better start hunting down a recliner sofa!
