Wednesday Watch List

Welcome to this week’s Wednesday Watch List, where I share the random things that captured my attention and stole my heart over the past week! But first, I wanted to make sure you saw yesterday’s makeover post, and all the details on painting over striped walls! The post went up a bit later in the day than usual, so be sure to check out that transformation first if you haven’t already seen it. Now, on to today’s picks!

Wednesday Watchlist - My favorite 5 items for the week! Including: modern kitchen with shiplap walls and woven Christmas tree color!

1 – I’m loving this eat-in kitchen from Clemons Design Co. It proves that shiplap can have a more modern spin, and doesn’t have to always look cottage-y or farmhouse-y. And that striped banquette is gorgeous!

I'm in love with the white on white in this modern kitchen, especially the look of the shiplap walls. Shiplap walls don't have to be shabby chic!

2 – My friend Chelsea tipped me off to this gorgeous upholstered spindle bench in one of her recent posts. I’m contemplating using it at the end of our bed to replace the dark leather one we have there now. You get get a white-leg version here.

This upholstered spindle bench is definitely one piece of furniture I have my eye on and am considering purchasing for our home!

3 – These velvet hair ties, which come in four colors, are a great way to dress up a basic ponytail or pulled back hair for the holidays! I’m seeing this old-school trend more and more frequently lately. I found a longer version here.

I love the classic look of this velvet hair tie. It dresses up any ponytail and comes in four colors including the black one shown here.

4 – I ordered two more of these woven tree collars yesterday for our Christmas trees. I got this one last year and was in love with it.  Our cats love to attack the Christmas light reflection under the tree all season long, so tree skirts become a complete disaster. This is such a great alternative and I love the more streamlined look! You can see all of their tree collar styles here.

These woven Christmas tree collars are such a great idea! The look is so much more clean and modern than a tree skirt.

5 – I’m loving these buffalo check throws, and they are priced fairly reasonably for PB throws! Such a timeless pattern that’s so perfect for fall and winter! They’d also make for a great gift! Note that they’re also doing their buy more, save more sale which can give you up to 30% off!  This is the sale I bought our new sofas at, making them 30% off – which is huge!

Buffalo check blankets are the perfect design element for Christmas. Just throw one over the couch or an armchair and you have instantly cozy Christmas decor!
