the joys of landscaping

Landscaping and Outdoor Spaces

Well, the excitement at our house today was that our fence was finished. We were sick of looking at the posts by themselves for the last two weeks and the guys came back to finish it all up today. We are really excited it is now finished and we can finally start landscaping. The one bad thing about a new subdivision (especially in Nebraska where the neighborhoods are essentially old cornfields) is that there is no landscaping – as you can tell our yard consists of grass. Luckily our neighborhood borders a lake so we can see trees around the perimeter. We are anxious to get some planted in our yard so that they can start the growing process. I have also included shots of our front yard (we started tearing out sod last week for flower beds, but it rained so much we couldn’t finish it). Now we are out of town the next two weekends so our yard is going to have to be a little w.t. for the time being. Oh well – it is nice to finally see some progress in our yard!
