2016 Summer Home Tour: Part II

Home Tour

It’s another exciting day here on the blog! Not only did I share my top five favorite fabric picks, but today I’m also sharing Part II of my 2016 Summer Home Tour series, hosted by Lindsay at The White Buffalo Styling Co. Be sure to also check out Part I of my Summer Home Tour, if you haven’t already, to see more spaces that you won’t see in today’s post. If you’re stopping in from The Chronicles of Home, welcome! Jen is one of my favorite bloggers to follow and she has such a warm and inviting home!

Summer is by far my favorite season and I think our home reflects that throughout the year. I love to decorate in neutrals, blues and greens and the extra light that fills our rooms when the weather turns warmer only serves to compliment the colors!

Welcome to our home!

I mentioned in yesterday’s home tour, most of the spaces I updated this year for summer are a sun-bleached look on my usual blues and greens. I’m loving the muted, calming vibe these colors bring to our spaces. A lot of this was inspired by the new palm tree artwork in our living room from Minted. You can see more photos of our living room in yesterday’s summer home tour post.

Our master bedroom stays fairly consistent throughout the year, but I feel like the decor is most fitting in the summer months. It’s definitely our calm, relaxing sanctuary!

I recently did a complete overhaul of our main guest bedroom a few months back, but intentionally made it ready for the summer months from day one! You can read about the full makeover in this post.

In our other guest bedroom, I finally decided over the last week that it was time to take down the Christmas decor. I wish I were kidding. I moved many of my spring pillows from the living room into the space and I’m loving the much more mellow vibe now that all the red plaid from the holidays is gone!
