Today is one of my favorite days of the year. Not only is it now officially spring, but it’s spring home tour week! I’ve teamed up with the lovely Marty from A Stroll Thru Life and a huge group of talented bloggers to share with you our spring home tours throughout the week.
If you’re stopping in from Julia’s blog, Cuckoo 4 Design, welcome! Julia is one of the sweetest gals I know in blogging land and she shares a love of cats and H&M pillows with me, so we’re practically soul mates! 😉
If you are a regular reader, you know I don’t usually go all out for seasonal tours (with the exception of Christmas). I like to swap out my throw pillows, throws and other pieces that can otherwise be used in different seasons to change things up a bit. This year, I was a bit navy-and-ivory-stripe obsessed as you’ll quickly see. But, with some pops of greenery, it feels like such a fresh combination to me this year!
For your convenience, all sources (or near look-alikes) are listed in a ‘shop the look’ scrolling image at the end of images for each room. Welcome to our home!
I keep our entryway fairly consistent from season to season, simply switching out the throw pillows. I like to let my gorgeous Lindsay Letters canvases take center stage (I have the ‘It Is Well’ canvas in our stairwell and the ‘Doxology’ canvas in our hallway).

Moving on to our living room, I went a bit bolder than I typically do in the spring time, with navy, turquoise and grass green. The sun is crazy intense in here in the spring because the sun is still pretty low in the sky. The wide angle shots are hard to get consistent lighting, but I secretly love all the extra sunshine pouring in!

In our kitchen, I recently added some navy striped runners in front of our sink and stove and I love the graphic punch and personality it adds to the space! I added some simple greenery and fun cutting boards to the area in an effort to hide our dark back splash a bit.

In our dining room, I decided to display my collection of glass bottles along the table for a unique tablescape. Most of the bottles were collected from HomeGoods and TJ Maxx through the years. This room gets a lot of light with the sliding doors and four windows, and the blue and green glass always looks so pretty in here! I also picked up a cute new sign from HomeGoods over the weekend. It’s actually a magnet board but I love it plain and on display! It reminds me of the much pricier Sugarboo art!

I recently shared a spring refresh to our master bedroom, but this room actually stays pretty much the same year after year and through the changing season. I think it’s because I just like the mellow and refreshing vibe.

Our main guest bedroom recently got a major makeover (you can read more about it here). The fresh new look is perfect for spring and any guests we have throughout the warmer months!

Beautiful! I love your kitchen! We are considering mounting our tv above the fireplace. Have you had any issues with it when you use the fireplace? I’m nervous that we’d overheat the tv or melt something.

I may have to steal that “It is well” art idea and make my own tonight! I love it. Your whole home is wonderfully decorated and a breath of fresh air.
Jennifer@The Chronicles of Home says
So beautiful, Sarah. And (most random question)…do you have plastic wrap over the pot for your fiddle leaf fig?? Is this some wizardry I don’t know about?!
Sarah says
Thanks Jen! And I’m laughing that you noticed the Saran Wrap. Yes – its there but only because we have a cat that wants to play in it and dig in the mud every time I water it. 😉 I try to leave about a one inch slit because I’m paranoid it will suffocate but its been this way about a year and done fine!
Pam @ Simple Details says
Love your pretty spring updates Sarah! I think I need some stripes in my life and your dining room light! 🙂
Kathy says
Love your home Sarah. Could you please tell me where you got the beautiful wood cake stand in your dining room?

Thank you so much! The cake stand was from Birch Lane last fall. I tried to find it on their website but it looks like its currently sold out 🙁
