Welcome to this week’s Wednesday Watch List, where I share the random things that captured my attention and stole my heart over the past week! But first, I want to tell you all thank you so much for all of your sweet words on our spring home tour I shared Monday! Your comments completely made my day!
1 – One of my most favorite blogging BFF’s, Mandy, recently completed her living room makeover, including stunning floating shelves flanking her fireplace. Not only does she show you how she styled them, but when you see her before photo, any of you with builder basic options from the time when all builders thought that beige and Tuscan style was in, you’ll feel hope that any room can be lighter, brighter and much more current. Such a beautiful improvement!
2 – I’m a bit enamored with this linen blue gingham outfit (they sell the button-back top and high-rise shorts separately). I think its one of those looks that will look either crazy cute or crazy terrible, you know? But with the whole outfit under $40 when it’s on sale, I might be willing to give it a try. The reviews are actually really great on both items too. I just think it would be so cute for spring and summer!
3 – A few weeks back, I picked up the L’Oreal La Palette Nude 2 eyeshadow palette (it also comes in two other color palettes). It was supposed to be a killer alternative to this much pricier version. It honestly went on like a dream over my usual eyeshadow primer. Even in hot and humid Costa Rica, this stuff didn’t sweat off with the primer, and the colors are so beautiful. Highly recommended!
4Â – I’ve been on the lookout for some non-traditional planters both for our backyard makeover and for my fiddle leaf figs inside. I thought these mossy fiber globe planters were beautifully colored and original. I also really liked the weathered look of these barnacle round shoulder pots.
5 – So, in this old Wednesday Watch list, I featured a bathing suit cover-up and it sold out quickly (not because of me, obviously, but because it was so cute). But, the image has become pretty popular on Pinterest lately (I’m guessing due to the tassels). I then found this version on Amazon and it’s a dead ringer (in fact, I’m pretty sure they’re using the VS image which may or may not be legal). AND it’s CHEAP with free shipping with Prime (I’m pretty sure the VS version was $70+) and comes in other colors and styles. It reminded me of the one I ordered and featured in this post (and I wore in non-stop in Costa Rica). Needless to say, I ordered this one yesterday!

Will you report back on the coverup? I had my eye on that one but I get nervous about the sizing on One Size products from China. It’s a knock off obviously but I’m not above a good knock off!

I actually got it over the weekend! The one-size sizing is definitely legit from what I can see. It fits a lot like a poncho so there is plenty of room and it is very breezy. I can’t say the material is the highest quality but, for my purposes, I think it’s perfect for a cover-up. Since it is sheer and lightweight, it should dry off quickly with a wet bathing suit. I hope that helps! Let me know if you have any other questions on it. I actually plan to order another color/pattern too, because the price is just too good 🙂

I was going to ask the same question- thanks for letting us know- I’m going to grab one now!
