Signature Style

I am sharing all the features that make up my signature beachy, casual, glam style!

For all of you visiting from my girl Jenna’s blog, Rain On A Tin Roof, welcome! And for all my regular readers, you are in for a treat this week! I have teamed up with 22 amazing bloggers as part of the Signature Style Series. Each day a group of bloggers will share their signature style, ‘must-haves’, and other key features that differentiate their style from others’. Each blog will link to the person before them and after them on the tour, so that you can take a tour of 22 stylish blogs and see all about what defines their styles. We were each asked to select three words that most defined our styles. And quite honestly, it was really hard to come up with until I really took a look around all of our spaces.

My three words to define my signature style were: beachy + casual + glam. These words may seem somewhat contradictory, however, if you look in each room I’ve finished, you will find multiple elements from each of these three categories. Basically, if it were fully up to me, I would live on the ocean with surfer chic hair, a carefree attitude, and a shiny chandelier in each room in my beach shack. And it would be amazing. Light, bright and happy could be the other three words that help describe my style.

The way I dress on a daily basis is also fairly similar, and could also be described by these three words. Give me a casual tee shirt, a polished blazer, jeans, heels and a blingy necklace and I am good to go. But I’m just as happy in a Roxy tee, bikini and some flip flops.

boxwood/ aqua frosted bottles / recycled glass vase / throw* / sandblasted grapewood {I’ve also had luck finding it at HomeGoods} / fabulous tee / blazer  / watch* / necklace

Some elements you’ll find in virtually every room in our house:

  • Shades of  blue and green
  • Boxwood topiaries or other greenery
  • Glass bottles
  • Natural elements {a piece of driftwood, wood furniture, seagrass, etc.}
  • A mix of high and low
  • Designer fabrics {my weakness} – Windsor Smith’s geometric prints are my favorite
  • Nailhead trim
  • Stripes
  • Dramatic lighting
  • Fresh paint
  • Board & batten or other moulding
  • Classic with small pops of trendy

Some stylish detail shots of a few of my favorite charming spaces that I feel really represent my style.

Do you feel like there is something about my style I forgot to mention or another word I should have used? Do you have a signature style? I’d love to hear how you would describe your own personal style in three words!

Be sure to stop by the next blog, Jennifer Rizzo to see how she best describes her signature style. I’ve also added a link below to everyone else participating {and the day they post} so you can be sure to check out all of the other amazing blogs in this series. We’re also doing a killer giveaway on Friday.
