Pantry Jars

Cleaning and Organization Tips

These glass pantry jars really helped to bring some organization into my pantry shelves!

Pantry with shelving unit and lots of food items on them.

Before we moved into our current home, I had high hopes for our pantry. Now I’m just happy if I can find something in the chaos! That is, until this past weekend, when I reorganized everything in the pantry with some help from my husband {and I did get my chalkboard, if in a much smaller dose than I originally anticipated}.

It all started when I found some cute {and cheap} glass and chalkboard containers a few weeks back at HomeGoods to serve as pantry jars. They ranged in price from $2.99 to $9.99 so all of these came in at just under $40. I would have updated the pantry sooner if it weren’t for the fact I felt like I had to hand wash the glass containers. Luckily, with cute product, I am much more motivated to actually organize and clean.

It’s hard to truly capture how much better this feels in photographs, but here are the before and afters.

Organizing The Pantry

The catalysts for this little makeover project – the cute jars from HomeGoods, using the chalk markers I got from my parents for Christmas. This corner alone feels a billion times better with this little update:

Glass jars with provisions in them all labelled on pantry shelf.

So much better than looking at random bags clipped shut!

Someday I may work on actually pretty-fying the pantry, but for now, I’m happy with just a little bit more organization!
