Our Coastal Loft Decorated for Summer

Decorating Ideas, Tips and Trends

Now that it’s almost August, it’s looking less and less likely that I’ll be sharing either a spring home tour or a summer home tour this year 😉 But, since I did change up the decor a bit in a few spaces, I figured I’d start sharing them here on the blog. Today I’m going to share our coastal loft decorated for summer!

This post contains affiliate links for your shopping convenience. You can read my full disclosure policy here.

Since we’re planning to move within the next year, I’m really trying to limit buying items that I’m unsure if I’d want to take to the next house with us. I actually ordered several of the items in this post in the winter, and planned to use them for spring. The loft has been decorated like this for several months now and I figured it was time I actually share it somewhere other than Instagram. There aren’t many changes, so typically I wouldn’t share, but the only other pictures I had with our gallery wall shelves were from fall and Christmas time!

Here is how our coastal loft space looks today decorated for summer. This has the only other TV in our house so it’s a great spot for me (especially once football season kicks off and I don’t want to watch it 24/7).

COASTAL LOFT SOURCES: Woven Shades (Bonaire Flaxen, blackout liner, automated) | Rattan Cabinet | Frame TV | Sectional | Similar Rug | Striped Ottoman | Star Chandelier | Reversible Linen Pillow Covers | Reversible Floral Pillow Covers | Lamps | Console Table | Baskets | Faux Oversized Curly Willow Branch | Vase | Woven Tray | Picture Ledge Shelves | Gallery Wall Frames (look for less here) | Similar Starfish Decor | White Spike Coral Object

I still love our gallery wall picture ledge shelves so much! You can read more about that feature we recently added in this post. These reversible linen pillow covers and reversible floral pillow covers are fun because I love the pops of additional color. But each one gives you two different looks for the cost of one! These could be mixed and matched in so many ways!

The picture ledge shelf makes it easy and fun to swap out items for seasonal decor. For summer, I added some starfish, coral and dried wood to change it up a bit. Once I gather even more seashells, I plan to create some shadowbox art to include here, as well.

It’s hard to believe, but we’ve owned this sectional for over six years now (almost seven)! It’s one of the few pieces of furniture we moved down here from Omaha three years ago. It first made its appearance in our coastal den reveal back in 2019 (although we bought it in late 2018) and it’s still going strong!

Our entryway with the wraparound windows is still one of my favorite features of this house, so I love that this room gets to be a part of that! It’s just incredibly hard to photograph!

And that wraps up the changes to the space! I hope you enjoyed this little tour of our coastal loft decorated for summer!
