One Room Challenge: Dining Room Makeover Week 6

Decorating Ideas, Tips and Trends, DIY Projects, Room Makeovers + Design Plans

And just like that, another One Room Challenge has come to an end. As I mentioned last week, I ran into a few roadblocks along the way, so today’s reveal is more like a semi-reveal. I’ll plan to share updates over the coming weeks as the plans draw to a close. I’m still in awe of all these other participants that crank out these projects beautifully and on time, every time!

If you’re new around here, you can get up to speed in the below posts:

Week 1 | Week 2 | Week 3 | Week 4 | Week 5

Without further delay, here is how the space currently looks. It’s pretty much just the basics (and rather bare) at this point but I’m so happy with the results:

It’s come a long ways from how we started! Here’s the original before and after of the space.

I’m obsessed with the lines and texture on our new chairs.

The new table is pretty incredible as well! The reclaimed wood is beyond stunning!

I definitely need a new rug. Not only have the cats destroyed this one while in attack mode, but it is too small for the space.

The only accessories at this point come in the form of my collection of glass bottles. Which I still love!

Obviously I still have a ways to go. This six-week business is TOUGH! The updated roman shades should be arriving soon. I also still need to finalize pillows and other accents and hopefully find a new buffet. But, in the meantime, the new updated and lighter/brighter dining room is perfect!

I’ll actually be sharing the decked out Christmas version of the dining room (which I photographed in October) on November 20th, so you’ll see even more of the space at this time.

To check out all of the other amazing reveals in this six-week challenge, be sure to visit Calling It Home to see all the other projects! Thanks for following along on the challenge!

It’s gorgeous! I can relate to struggling with schedules. By the time I get home from work I’m drained and sometimes don’t want to have to focus on anything.

I think this room looks stunning, even if you have more to do. Compared to a few short weeks ago, this space has come a LONG way. Beautiful job.

Love this room! I had a question about a linear chandelier. What should the length be? I love this chandelier that you have but not sure if it would work for my table? My table is 77 inches long, 48 inches wide and 30 inches high. What size would you suggest?
