New Dining Light {a.k.a last one ever}

Room Makeovers + Design Plans

I have finally hung our new dining room chandelier that I love!

We hung our new chandelier today and I am in LOVE.  We only had four {of the necessary six} light bulbs, so it may look a little lopsided at this time but I couldn’t wait to buy more to post pictures of this glorious chandelier!

Once I got the black and white striped rug, the combo with the old light made it feel much more modern that what I was going for.  I love the touch of rustic glam the new light adds – it is also SO much brighter – even with the two missing bulbs.  Our last light was only a two bulb and not nearly bright enough for such a large space in the dining room.

A look back at the other {three} lights that have been short-lived.  Hard to believe our house is only three years old and we are on our fourth light.  I don’t count the first one since it came with the house 😉

Various lighting options in the dining room.

More shots of the new light, including my favorite part – the stunning teardrop crystals.  In all, there are over 80 crystals on this bad boy.  It took me longer to attach those than for us to get the light wired and hung.

And lastly, some night shots {and by night I mean 5:00}:

The twinkling chandelier.

And yes, I realize almost all of these photos look the exact same.

I spent the last of my eBay money on a purchase I saw on Copy Cat Chic.  Williams Sonoma sells this mirror for $350 {currently on sale for $195}.  QVC has it on clearance for a whopping $62.40.  It will be perfect above the couch in our bonus room – its more than three feet in diameter and probably one of the cheapest mirrors I have ever found in my life given the size.  I also included a close-up of the detailing on the metal rings on the chandelier.

A look at the metal detail.
