This Christmas I was feeling krafty with the present wrapping!

A present all wrapped up with pretty rosette flowers on top.

We pretty much have all of our non-Utah Christmas shopping done {we will do all of that once we get out there next week}.  We draw names among the adults on my husband’s side of the family, which I think is a great idea, and then we have the nieces to buy for.  The husband and I also are sponsoring four children through the Project Angel Tree program at church {it was always a family tradition when I was young so I love that we can carry in on here}.  The gifts are due by Wednesday so I had to make sure they were all wrapped before church this morning.Three presents all wrapped on the table.

Yesterday I got all the gifts wrapped.  I opted to go with brown kraft paper.  Is it me or does Christmas wrapping paper get more expensive {with less paper on the rolls} every year?  Using various inspirations, I decided to go the kraft paper route, embellished with pretty felt flower rosettes.  I showed the husband my plan and he thought it looked like I was wrapping with grocery sacks.  Then I ran out of hot glue along the way so I had to use Gorilla glue to attach the flowers – those babies are never coming off!

Up close picture of a red rosette flower on the present.

I think even the husband agrees that the final result is darling! {that may not be his exact choice of words, but you get the point}.  My brother-in-law {who I draw every year} is totally going to love these flowers on his gifts.

Rosette instructions found here.  If you are looking for cute wrapping ideas look here {not to mention she has some of the cutest decorating I have ever seen}, here {her December 6th post} or here.  Adorable {and free} giftcard downloads found here.
And lastly, here is little Hawkeye’s interpretations of the gifts as he dive-bombs the reflections of the tree lights while I try to take photos.  You’ll note the black blurs {him} and what appears to be fireworks {the tree lights getting whipped about}.  How can we not figure out how only the bottom six inches of our nine foot tree are lit??  These pictures should speak volumes.
