Sharing a look at some of my favorite rugs I’ve used over the years, along with a few new finds that are perfect for updating your home!

One of my favorite ways to update a space is by adding a new rug! I know purchasing rugs online can feel intimidating, but if I think back, that’s the only way I’ve ever purchased my larger ones. Today I thought I’d share some of my all-time favorite rugs over the years that are still available today. At the end of the post, I am also sharing some other top picks I’ve considered. I love shopping for rugs on Wayfair specifically because I find their reviews incredibly helpful (especially the customer photos) and they also offer free and easy delivery over $35, when many sites do not for oversized rugs!
Let’s jump into my favorites.
Catamaran Stripe Rug
Perhaps one of my all-time favorite rugs, this catamaran stripe rug comes in so many beautiful colors and packs such a punch with the pattern! I personally love the Dash & Albert line so much because many of their outdoor options can be hosed off, bleached, etc. but are still fairly soft underfoot. They continue to look good year after year, even in the most high-traffic areas in our home!

The exact rug shown above moved down to Florida with us and we now use it on our back screened-in porch! Despite being in an entryway and outdoors, it still looks good as new and cleans up so easily!
We loved it so much, we also ordered the runner version for our kitchen. I love that the Dash & Albert brand offers a variety of lengths in their runners!
Dash & Albert Moana Stripe Jute Rug
My next pick is the Dash & Albert Moana Stripe Jute rug. We used this in our Omaha kitchen in our 2022 summer home tour, and it also traveled with us to Florida.
It is now in our carriage house kitchen!

Palermo Border Jute Rug
In the image above, you may have also noticed the round border jute rug under the dining table. It’s another one we’ve used in various spaces over the years!
In our Omaha bedroom, we had the rectangular version under our bed and loved it! For the longest time we had horrible carpet in the room and this helped hide the color and the fact it badly needed to be stretched. Once we upgraded to the much prettier carpet shortly before we moved, we still kept the rug in place because we loved it so much!

Stockton Springs Striped Flatweave Rug
Our next favorite is this striped flatweave rug we had in our Omaha guest bedroom. We loved it so much we also bought one for one of the bedrooms at Hola Beaches!

Laguanda Geometric Handmade Flatweave Rug
If you prefer more of a pattern over a striped or solid rug, this geometric rug we used at Hola Beaches Casita is another favorite!

Erin Gates by Momeni Orchard Bloom Woven Wool and Jute Rug
Lastly, this block print style rug we have in our carriage house is still a top favorite of mine! It’s on the thinner side, so I’d definitely recommend a rug pad (especially in a living room), but the look is hard to beat! It’s so pretty and makes such a statement in a room! Side note: this rattan desk has finally been restocked! I know many of you had your eyes on it.
