Long Torso Swimsuits & Tankinis

If you’re like me, most one-piece swimsuits are way too short in the torso. Over the years, I’ve gravitated away from the bikinis I wore in my younger years to tankinis or long torso one-piece suits. Unfortunately, it can sometimes be difficult to find options that fit but are also chic and stylish!

Long torso swimsuits are specifically designed to accommodate the needs of individuals with longer torsos, offering a comfortable and flattering fit. These swimsuits feature extended torso lengths, providing ample coverage and ensuring that the suit doesn’t ride up or feel constricting. Whether you’re lounging by the pool or diving into the waves, long torso swimsuits are the perfect choice for those seeking a stylish and well-fitted swimwear option.

I’ve quickly become a huge tankini fan over the years, as well, because you don’t have to worry about a long torso option. They naturally work with most torso sizes, thanks to the fact they’re still a two piece, but with a lot more coverage. I also prefer this option when it’s time to use the restroom 😉

Thankfully, more and more brands are now offering cute long torso swimsuits and tankini options!

Today I’m sharing a few recent finds, as well as details on my favorite shops to look for chic, longer swimsuits! First a few worth noting:

• I just ordered this tankini top and it’s one of my favorite finds in a while! Their suits are pricier (bottoms sold seperately) but the quality is always great.
• The “wildly-flattering swimsuit” also comes in long torso lengths. I own several of these and they’re still a favorite. They suck you in in all the right places without being uncomfortable. This bow version is a fun twist on the classic.
• This ruffle top tankini is a super cute one if you want a trendier style. It’s also sold here. Again, their suits are pricier (bottoms sold seperately) but the quality is always great.
• I consistently have good luck with J. Crew long torso swim options. With their frequent sales, they tend to be one of the more cost-effective options!

After owning a pool for many years, and now living at the beach, I’m willing to invest in high-quality swimwear. I find that the fit is typically much better and the fabrics tend to be more flattering, which makes me more confident while wearing them. It’s not an area where I like to go cheap!
