In a rather crazy and unexpected turn of events, we plan to list our house on the market on Monday. WHAT?!?  Don’t worry – we are likely equally as shocked. A month ago, we would have said we were staying another nine+ years until our current home is paid off.  But, we found the perfect house for us, in the perfect neighborhood, with the perfect location in the city, on the perfect lot and we are in a perfect interest rate environment to make us not cringe quite as badly at a new mortgage.  It was love at first sight on Monday and again tonight. We only toured one other home {other than this one} but this is the exact area we want to be. Our realtor is confident she can get us what we want out of our house {we are unwilling to compromise below a certain point on the sale of our home and will pull from the market if need be}.  I have a LOT of work cut out for me before Monday – my husband leaves to Nashville tomorrow through Sunday and then I head to St. Louis Sunday through Wednesday. A lot has to happen yet, and some pretty strict demands will have to be followed before anything is official – and it may not even happen – but I’ll keep you posted. Let the joys of selling our home begin!
