Life On Virginia Street Florida Pool Details

Landscaping and Outdoor Spaces

We moved into our Florida new build on Labor Day weekend in 2023. The home included a pool and spa, and I’m sharing all the details on our pool deck, pool, outdoor furniture and landscaping! I’ll also share a tour of our screened-in back porch that overlooks the backyard.

This post contains affiliate links for your shopping convenience. You can read my full disclosure policy here.

Life On Virginia Street pool details including pebble tec color, pavers, outdoor furniture and more. Includes a white pool cabana, outdoor lounge chairs, colorful flowers, and a light blue swimming pool.

Pool & Pool Deck Details

As you can quickly see, the pool takes up the majority of our backyard. Here are all the specifics on the pool and pool deck itself:

  • Saltwater Pool & Spa measuring approximately 12’x24′ (spa dimensions are 12’x5′ of that, making the pool about 19 feet long.)
  • Pebble Tec – Signature Matrix Coastal Blue
  • Waterline Tile – NPT Tile Quarry Ridge, Blue Stone 6″x6″
  • Pavers – FireRock pavers, Oyster color – these have a similar vibe to limestone
  • House and Cabana Paint Color – Sherwin Williams Greek Villa

The color of the Pebble Tec can definitely change with lighting throughout the day, for the most part, it’s typically a light blue. In the image above, you can see the spa leans a bit lighter since it is much more shallow than the pool itself. The base of the color is intended to look like sand, so you’ll see that lighter color more where there is less water.

Here’s a view of the colors from above.

In the late afternoons, the carriage house will block the sun, so even on sunnier days, the darker blue is more noticeable late in the day. We actually love what a chameleon color it is!

Pool Deck & Cabana Outdoor Furniture

We definitely have a high-low mix going on when it comes to the furniture on the pool deck and cabana.

This image was taken shortly after we moved in, in September 2023

We previously owned these Chaise Lounge Chairs in the darker color when we lived in Omaha. We were very happy with them, so when they launched in the lighter color, I knew they’d be perfect for our new Florida home!

The Life On Virginia Street pool details for her northwest Florida pool. This is a Pebble Tec pool with light pavers, light blue scalloped umbrellas, light woven pool chairs, a white wood fence, and pots filled with citrus topiaries and flowers.

The tall planters were purchased locally at Clay 30A, but all other sources are listed below. In the pots, I have kumquat topiaries (my first citrus trees!), sweet potato vines, mandevilla, and creeping Jenny.

In the cabana, we’re still using our Walmart swivel chairs that are currently on their fifth season! These are still the original cushions and they’ve held up like a dream. We still need to purchase an insert for the fireplace, so that’s on the agenda to handle before fall rolls around.

Screened-In Back Porch Furniture

Overlooking the pool, cabana, and backyard space, we also have a screened-in porch attached to the back of our home. We love that it is accessed via a giant sliding door (10’x16′ feet) so we have a true indoor/outdoor vibe if we choose. Here is a look at the little outdoor living and dining nooks, as well as the built-in outdoor kitchen.

When you walk out of the sliders, to the left you’ll see the outdoor living room. Behind that is our garage and carriage house above it.

To the right is our outdoor dining space. Since it’s all screened in, we love eating out here bug-free! The cats also really enjoy that they can be let “outside” but we feel safe with them a bit more enclosed.

A dream space, longing for summer as I’m shivering through a very cold winter day. Your spaces are always beautiful.

It’s gorgeous!! I love it all. Would you be willing to share the cost of the pavers per square foot? I’m curious if it’s a product I can use for my project. Thanks so much!

Thank you! Unfortunately I don’t have that information. The pool was a feature included by our builder and these were the only pavers offered. So it was all just built in to the price of our home and not line-itemed. Sorry I don’t have more info!

No worries! Regardless, I’m totally inspired. I reached out to the manufacturer today to get more information. Did you pick modern or traditional (pitted). Sorry for all the questions but I’m trying to recreate the vibe! 🌸

I believe ours are the modern (they didn’t give us a choice on that either). There is a still a bit of air bubble pitting so it does still have a stone look. If you’re somewhere where there is freeze/thaw you may want to verify if the traditional is safe (and won’t crack there)!
