Large Beachy Abstract Art Ideas for the Office

I am excited to share with you my ideas for some beachy abstract art for the office!

Our transformed office refresh is nearly complete and I can’t wait to share it with you! I have to delay the big reveal until early next week, as the bookshelves I ordered were delayed and won’t arrive now until Friday. But everything else is nearly done and the new floors look amazing!

As I’ve been working to finalize our office design, I’ve been thinking a lot about the current artwork in the space. The abstract artwork from Lindsay Letters is absolutely gorgeous and I still love it so much! But, now that the board and batten grid wall is painted BM Hale Navy, I feel like there is a bit too much blue. I can’t believe I just said that 😉 But, what I’m thinking is that I need an iconic art piece something with a little more variety in color. Possibly some greens, aquas or turquoise to add a little more contrast. I’ve even thought of bringing back my DIY large abstract artwork. If I did find something different, I’d then find a lighter room in our home to use the Lindsay Letters piece. Here’s our office as I last shared it in the fall.

An office with two desks, a blue/gray wall behind the desks with abstract art on the wall.

After installing the gorgeous whitewash bead chandelier, I’m wanting something that gives off a stylish beachier feel in the room. So, today, I’ve rounded up some of my top picks for large beachy abstract art!

Large beachy abstract art ideas and options for any space in your home. Love the mix of blues, greens, grays, and sand colors in these canvases to create the perfect coastal vibe for your decorating!

Click any of the images below for more information on each piece of artwork (you may have to double-tap on mobile). I can’t decide which one is my favorite!

Granted, if I do opt to replace the current artwork, it won’t likely arrive in time for the big reveal, but I also don’t want to rush my decision. So, I’m okay mulling the decision over until I find the perfect picture option. The options above that I show vertically would be hung horizontally if I went with any of them, to better fit the space.

So what do you think? Look for something new or keep that artwork as is? Have you seen any other similar options around that I should check out? I’m looking forward to any thoughts you may offer!

I think you should jump out of your safe-zone and go for artwork the is BOLD, BRIGHT and UNEXPECTED. Think pink, orange , yellow or a combo of each. … it could be fun!

I’m thinking you could switch around the artwork from the dining room and the office. (Although I love the look you have in the dining room). Just a thought. Whatever you choose will look amazing, I’m sure.

I shared an option for framing canvases in this post: https://lifeonvirginiastreet.com/2014/01/diy-designer-inspired-art-and-frame-html. Hopefully that helps!
