This weekend I started spring cleaning. I have known for a while that my closet has needed some serious work. My sister-in-law and I recently decided against doing a garage sale this summer so I decided Saturday was the day to make a trip to Goodwill. I started with our guest room closet. Which was jam-packed with clothes that no longer fit me and clothes the husband wears {along with others he does not}. Five garbage bags later and we were done with this room! Before shots {one of each side} on the left – the afters are the bigger photos.
Next up – the train wreck we call our master closet.
We really feel at times like it’s a lost cause – it is way too small and just not laid out well. However, this weekend, we decided to come up with a plan to make some changes – we are going vertical! So, next week look for an all new closet or at least the best we can do for the space. Basically we are going to move all my shoe bins up to where you see the shoe boxes and the husband’s shorts. His clothes will get bins on the floor level. We are then going to lower my long hanging area {where that shirt is hanging} and add another shirt rack up to the ceiling {upper left}. Unfortunately, I didn’t take before pics with these changes in mind. Hopefully it works out well though!
We did manage to get another 7 bags of clothes to take to Goodwill! 12 in one weekend is not too shabby.
The girl cats never really hang out so this was a rare site. They kept cuddling more and more until Henley decided to clean Bailey.
And some other sleeping pics. Bearcat constantly sleeps on my arm when I am on the computer. It’s classic for him to put an arm over his eyes like it’s so bright out. Hawkeye always sleeps on his ottoman and the girls just sleep wherever. My Uggs have been a favorite pillow lately.
And that’s our weekend wrap-up. Back to work tomorrow!
