Prepping My Home For Real Estate Photos

I am thoroughly exhausted by getting my home prepped for real estate photos, but it looks amazing!

A wood kitchen with black countertops.

In preparation to list our home officially tomorrow, I have spent all day Friday, Saturday & today getting it ready to go on the real estate market.  The professional photographers for the MLS listing came yesterday at 3:00, so prior to that I had to focus on tasks that would make the biggest impact in the house photos.  I still would have liked to have gotten more accomplished, but honestly, I am proud of how far I got {my husband was in Nashville the whole time so it was just me}.  Rough, I know – but I leave to St. Louis today for a business trip until Wednesday night, so he is going to have to deal with the first few days it’s on the market.  I was excited to hear the photographer say it was one of the cleanest homes she had ever photographed and proceeded to ask if I was an interior designer.  Made all the hard work worth it!

After the photographers came, I took a few shots too.  Unfortunately it was overcast and dark and dreary out.  Made for some tough lighting.

Just received notice from our realtor that the house we want is getting a second offer today….boo! I’m kind of freaking out right now.  Well, back to the cleaning/prepping!
