Benson Pendants

Our new house means new Benson Pendants from Restoration Hardware.Four wicker chairs in front of a white kitchen island with three lights above it.

So, the house is ours. With the second offer, it was a rather stressful process, especially since my husband and I had about one hour of discussion after he got home from Nashville and before I had to leave to St. Louis.  We made our quick decision over the phone.  Our house officially went on the market Monday.  We have had four tours and it sounds like everyone that has come through plans not only a second showing, but likely an offer.  Our fingers are crossed!

Restoration Hardware’a Benson Pendant Lights

I negotiated with the hubs that I wouldn’t buy anything for our current house or the new house over the next few months.  However, I was able to negotiate only the pendant lights over the new island in the kitchen.  Although I don’t like most of the lighting in the new house {an easy fix} the kitchen pendants kill me the most The lights are actually all very nice, but you know I’m a neutral Nelly and they just read very orange and warm to me, rather than the cool tones I prefer.View of a kitchen with an island and lights above the island.

Eventually we will replace the backsplash as well {likely white subway tiles} and paint the walls {another easy fix} but those lights have to go. The good news is, I am pretty sure I can easily sell them on Craig’s List.  The new lights I am likely going with are the stunning Restoration Hardware’s Benson Pendant.  They are currently 25% off, which is a huge steal for RH.  Here are the lights along with some gorgeous images {via my Pinterest lighting board} of other kitchen islands I love that include them.  Just not sure if we need the 7″ or the 13″ {I know the 16″ would be much too large} – I’m worried the 7″ would be a tad bit small but the 13″ are quite a bit pricier.  I’m also not sure if I should go with the polished nickel {more chrome-like} or the satin nickel – leaning towards satin nickel which is in all of these kitchens with the exception of the RH photo and the first kitchen. Thoughts?
