Choosing backsplash is a big decision but here I will show you my backsplash option.
Replacing our kitchen backsplash may be a project for down the road, but I think I made my tile selection this weekend. I knew I wanted subway tiles but upon noticing the creamy {not white} color of the kitchen cabinets once we moved in and I could hold up paint samples, I knew the traditional white subway tiles would not be an option {I didn’t want them to make our cabinets appear yellow}.
Backsplash Tile Ideas
I had seen this tile before and always like it but after realizing how off-white our cabinets are in the new house, I thought it may be an even better solution. Enter Greecian White Subway from Home Depot {their website photo looks absolutely nothing like the real thing}. The marble is very beveled {which I love but may be a pain to grout} and varies in color form rich gray, to white, to creamy, to gold. A perfect solution for the hard-to-be-described cabinet color.
The tile sample, as grouted at Home Depot {the color variances aren’t quite as obvious in this photo}:
We bought a 1×1 sample backsplash sheet to take home to test the color. I think it will work out very well!
When I was painting the living room on Christmas Day, I moved the sample sheet to the range area so I could gaze at it – because I’m weird like that.
I think this will be a great option. Any other kitchen backsplash tiles I should be considering?

LOVE it! It is very similar to the backsplash tile I have picked out or maybe I will have to switch to this one???
