As we prepare to start the new year ahead of us (under a freeze warning!), today I wanted to share the 2024 Top 10 Best Sellers on Life On Virginia Street. As most of you know, I share a weekly update in my Weekend Recap posts with the top sellers each week, but it’s fun to take all of that data in aggregate to see the all-time favorites for the year! Or maybe that’s just the math and statistics major in me coming out 😉 Before we get to the best sellers though, first and foremost, I want to thank each and every one of you that takes the time to visit my blog each day as well as those that choose to trust my recommendations. It truly means the world to me and I appreciate you all so much!
As I go through each item below, I’ll also share a little insight on each as to why I think they were so popular. You’ll see many items came from my 15 most popular blogs posts of 2024, whereas others were definitely influenced by Instagram posts. I have also opted to delete a few items that made the list, if they were no longer available for purchase (which included several clothing items). So, let’s jump into the most popular items I linked to over the past year. There are likely some items you recognize, but probably a few surprises mixed in, as well! This year, I’m splitting the list into top 10 Amazon favorites and then the top 10 from all other retailers. I think that you’ll quickly see my Amazon best sellers tend to be smaller and/or more gadget-related while the other retailers tend to be more fashion and decor focused, so it’s a fun mix!
Following are the two sets of 2024 top 10 reader favorites, counting down backwards in true countdown style!

Top 10 Amazon Best Sellers on Life On Virginia Street
#10 – Faux Greenery Stems
I’ve owned these faux greenery stems for years, and they’re one of the best values out there. When they arrive they don’t look too impressive since they’re typically folded up in a bag, but since they’re wired, they’re easy to refresh and look beautiful quickly! A few of these stems goes a long way and they’ll instantly add life to any room!

#9 – Refillable Touch Up Pen
We love having these refillable paint touch-up pens on hand. We store them in a drawer and have easy access to our paint colors, and they stay fresh for years. The applicator tip works well to touch up scratches, scuffs, and more! I have a video here that shows them in action if you want to learn more.
#8 – Rechargeable Light Bulbs with Remote
I talk much more indepthly about these in my post on rechargeable light bulbs and lamps. But we have found so many great uses for these bulbs, including areas that can’t reach an outlet (like the lamps on our console tables) or where we wanted a mounted fixture that isn’t hardwired (like the sconce in our laundry room).
SOURCES: Rattan Sconce | Faux Viburnum Stems | Vase (small) | Woven Tray | Cabinet Hardware | Paint Color: Aero Blue stock cabinet color – similar to Benjamin Moore Santorini Blue
#7 – Baby’s Breath
I bought this real-touch baby’s breath at the end of December last year, knowing I’d be ready for a fresh look come January. I’m so glad I did! Like most Amazon florals, it arrived a little smashed, but I really love this one! The bunch is large (I’m only using one below) and is perfect year-round, but especially in the dead of winter.

#6 – Fly Trap
I’ll spare you the picture on this one, but we have a few of these fly traps around our house and love them so much! We’ve used them for years and they are so great at catching fruit flies, house flies, moths, and more. We love that they don’t have a chemical – the light simply attracts them to the sticky surface. You can buy refill cards when yours gets full and you’re good to go! There’s a reason these get rave reviews – from us included!
#5 – Cane Vase
I’ve used this cane-wrapped vase in a number of places in multiple homes over the years. And it’s still one of my favorites! You can also see it in #4 above with the faux baby’s breath but also works really well with the tulips you’ll find further down in this post.

#4 – Real-Touch Tulips
I’ve owned and loved these faux tulips for years and years! I have multiple sets now because I love them so much in the springtime. They come in a bunch of colors, but I’ve always just ordered the white. My mom has them in pink and they’re super pretty too! They look so lifelike!
SOURCES: Coral Mirror | Console Table | Scalloped Wicker Lamp | Faux Tulips | Vase | Recycled Glass Beads | Striped Ottoman Cube
SOURCES: Faux Tulips (I have two sets here for a more dramatic look) | Scalloped Marble Wine Chiller | Cabinet Knobs
#3 – Airplane Holder
Kurtis was thrilled to hear that one of his finds made the best seller list for the second year running. He’d argue this airplane phone holder is one of his favorite purchases of last year, and he has found more ways to use this than you could even imagine possible. It’s perfect for someone who likes to watch video on their phone on airplanes, if you use your phone for recipes in the kitchen, etc.
#2 – Kitsch Dermaplaning Tool
I’m a big fan of dermaplaning. If you’re not familiar with the process, definitely do your research, but it’s essentially “shaving” your face to remove peach fuzz and dead skin. These affordable dermaplaning tools are my favorite (I’ve tried quite a few) and keep my skin so soft and your makeup will look so much better! If you’ve never tried it, the technique is fairly straightforward and quick. It sounds much more intimidating than it really is!
#1 – Rug Grippers
I’ve used these rug grippers for several years now, and they work great to keep rug corners from lifting and to keep runners, etc. in place. They’re safe to use on LVP, hardwood, carpet and more! They claim to be reusable but I would argue they’re best only if used to lift the same rug and then re-lay it down. Not to use it again on another rug.
Top 10 Best Sellers from Other Retailers on Life On Virginia Street
Next I’m sharing the top 10 best sellers from retailers other than Amazon. Here you’ll find a great mix of high/low decorating ideas, with items ranging from Walmart up to Serena & Lily.
#10 – Swivel Glider Patio Set
My Walmart swivel glider patio set has made the list the last five years or so. We’re going into our sixth season with the same set – and original cushions! We used to cover them in the winter (with the included covers) but haven’t since we moved to Florida over two years ago. Sadly it’s currently sold out, but I’m really hoping they bring it back soon, as they have in years past! My mom has made me promise to tell her first if I see a re-stock before I tell the masses though 😉

#9 – Scalloped Headboard
These scalloped headboards are one of my favorite finds of the year! They are incredibly budget friendly and give major designer vibes! They offer multiple colors, and the white has finally been restocked after I shared them in the summer! Ours are twin size (so they only have three waves) but they also come in full/queen size with four waves if you need something larger.

#8 – Cordless Rechargeable Table Lamp
I’ve sung the praises of cordless rechargeable table lamps for some time now, and I was excited to see this version made the list! I love that the metal shade looks pleated. This one is also fun because it comes in multiple sections so you can make it shorter or taller depending on your needs! The design definitely looks more high-end than some and when I first bought it, it didn’t have any reviews. So I’m excited to see there are a bunch now and they all seem to love it too!

#7 – Table Lamp
I’ve owned these table lamps for maybe five or six years. I originally bought them at Pottery Barn, but they discontinued them, and now you can find them everywhere from Walmart to Cailini Coastal to Amazon. I don’t really consider these an “Amazon purchase” hence the reason they’re in this section. But they currently have the lowest, in-stock price.
SPRING LOFT SOURCES: Woven Shades (Bonaire Flaxen, blackout liner, automated) | Rattan Cabinet | Frame TV | Sectional | Similar Rug | Brushstroke Pillow Covers | Floral Pillow Covers | Lamps | Console Table | Baskets | Faux Lilacs | Vase
#6 – My Texas House Poppy Rug
This rug happens to be the only item that made the list that I don’t actually own! But, it continued to be a bestseller week after week from this graphic (and the very strong reviews) alone! It comes in multiple sizes and a few color options.

#5 – Light Blue Swivel Chair
These blue swivel chairs are such an incredible budget find and have held up so well so far! I actually bought mine from a neighbor with small children that had owned them for several months. She had to move out of state unexpectedly, and since they were already on my moodboards for Hola Beaches Casita, I considered it fate. They’re such a great value and go in and out of stock frequently, but it looks like they’re back for the time being!

#4 – Swivel Accent Chair
Another budget chair favorite, we have this swivel accent chair in both my home office and another sitting area at Hola Beaches Casita. One of my favorite features of these chairs is that the slipcovers are fully removable so you can wash them! Such a rare find for a budget chair! When we first got them, Kurtis thought they’d be way too small (they’re on the shorter side) but now it’s one of his favorite chairs and the only place he sits when he comes in my office (despite two other chairs being available).

#3 – Blue Patterned Rug
We loved this affordable blue patterned rug that we bought for Hola Beaches Casita so much, we ended up buying another one for our guest bedroom!

#2 – Fluted Planter
These fluted planters are another perennial favorite! I used to own the much more expensive Pottery Barn version in Omaha, but these are so much easier to move around and are a fraction of the price! This is another one I expect them to re-stock shortly so stay tuned!
#1 – Raffia Sandals
The #1 spot actually took me a little bit by surprise! Especially when several other bestsellers were other sandals from Walmart and Target (neither of which are in stock any longer). So I was thrilled to see that these raffia sandals that were the strong front runner are back this resort wear season! They fit true to size and look so much like the designer version!
That wraps up the top 20 bestsellers of 2024 for Life On Virginia Street! I’d love to hear if you tried any of these personally. And I’m already excited to see what makes the list for next year!

I purchased the tulips and baby’s breath because of your recommendation. They are absolutely perfect! I just ordered the Texas House rug. What I love about your blog is that you actually own the majority of the items and style them in your home/rental property. You are the real deal, Sarah!

So happy to hear that, Kat! Thank you so much!! 🙂
