2017 Fall Home Tour Part I

Decorating Ideas, Tips and Trends, Home Tour

With all the updates to my home recently, I am excited to share with you my 2017 fall home tour part 1.White kitchen with olive wreath over range and a pendant light over the kitchen island.

It’s hard to believe it’s already time for fall tours! I’m likely in the minority, but I’m still a bit in denial that summer is coming to an end, so decorating for this year’s fall tour was a bit tough. But, I’ve teamed up with Marty from A Stroll Thru Life and a group of wonderful bloggers to share the first part of my coastal fall home tour with you today! Hopefully you all can leave these tours feeling a bit more inspired for cozy fall. If you’re stopping in from Clean & Scentsible, welcome! I love Jenn’s farmhouse vibe and her dining room tour was so beautiful!

Decorating For Fall

Today I’m sharing my stunning entryway, living room, kitchen and dining room. You can also visit Part II of my fall home tour to see even more spaces!

Welcome to our home! I recently made some updates to our entryway (you can read all about them here). Because it all still feels so new to me, I swapped out the former palmetto palm branch for a simple topiary I recently picked up in Minnesota. I’m still loving our new coral-like mirror in the space. It reflects so much light into this otherwise dark corner!

Entryway with navy blue front door, jute and navy striped rug, mossy topiary, white coral mirror, crystal chandelier and striped wood cabinet. Wall color is Behr Castle Path and door color is Benjamin Moore Hale Navy.

Because fall is a tough one for me, I’m all about subtle touches of warmth throughout to welcome the season. I recently shared some of my favorite ways to add fall touches, and I’ve already made a slight tweak since that time. I swapped out the warm caramel velvet pillows for a chartreuse version. The swap made me feel like it was still acceptable to love summer but to slowly move into fall 😉 I may pull the caramel versions back out in October when it really feels like we’re deep into fall. One thing I just can’t get enough of this fall is anything olive related. My husband and I made our fourth trip to Italy this past spring, and I always come home with a deeper love for the country and the Italian culture. And the olive leaves remind me so much of Italy! My new Blue Pumpkins canvas and Thankful canvas from Lindsay Letters are definitely the stars in our living room this year!

Our kitchen recently got an updated look with this navy herringbone runner and a faux olive leaf wreath. Simple fall touches to welcome the new season!

You’ll probably believe me a about the olive obsession now when you see our dining room. I added two more olive topiaries here, along with another of the olive wreaths. This washed navy blue velvet table runner is the perfect addition to make our otherwise beachy/summery dining room feel just a bit more fall-like with warmth. I also love how much wider it is than traditional table runners. Lastly, these linen napkins are my new favorite, and look so much more expensive than they actually are! I loved them so much I picked them up in the natural color I used here, as well as the indigo blue version (which has a slight green undertone).

I love your dining decor! I’d love to use some greenery like you did along the center of the table, where did you find your Moss/ greenery?

Thank you so much! The mossy greenery is actually faux stems that I found in Minnesota at a local boutique. I’m guessing Hobby Lobby or Michael’s may have something similar!

Sarah! Since being in your Haven group (fantastic btw), every time I see you gorgeous home, I now think “she’s normal and lovely and personable and friendly, and spunky”. Sooo not the way I thought before when I saw your beautiful pictures. Before you were still lovely but never did I ever think you were normal. And I say that with high regards! I always thought “my goodness, how does she do all that she does and have such a vivaciously stunning home”?
You truly amaze me with your awesomeness Sarah! And can I just say, I’d love to come plop down on that sofa and look at those larger than life blue pumpkins all day!
