I can’t wait to inspire you with my fall home tour full of elegant fall decor!
Earlier this week I shared Part I of our fall home tour, and today I’m back to share a few more room in our home all dressed up for fall! I’ve teamed up with a group of five other talented bloggers to show how I welcome fall into our home. If you’re stopping in from my friend Jen’s blog at Decor Gold Designs, welcome!
Fall Decor Ideas
I’m likely in the minority that I don’t welcome fall with eager arms. It’s not that I don’t like fall, it’s just that I’m never ready for summer to be over! In the past, I would force myself to decorate with traditional fall decor in hopes that I would be excited for the coming season. But I think that made me dread fall even more. So, over the last year or two, I’ve learned that if I keep my fall decor to a soft minimum and stick with my traditional blues, greens and neutrals, I actually embrace the season so much more! Now, welcoming fall for me means adding texture and warmth in our textiles and blankets and bringing some of the remaining greenery from outside to the indoors!
A few weeks ago, I shared our office makeover reveal and to be honest, not much has changed in the space. We are loving how the room turned out and it’s been easy to update for fall with fresh hydrangea clippings on a weekly basis!
I also updated our powder bathroom on our main floor earlier this year. We have four types of oak trees around our yard, so I simply clipped a few branches to add to various rooms in our house. They add a subtle fall touch to the bathroom and I just can’t get enough of it!
I mentioned yesterday that I finally bought a new luxe duvet cover for our master bedroom. I desperately need to paint in here (both the walls and the ceiling) so I’m hoping to do that this fall or early winter! I’d also love to find a new bench for the end of our bed. I used some pillows I had on hand to freshen up the linens for fall to go with the new duvet cover. And I’m loving the look!
Be sure to check out the rest of our fall home tour, which includes our entryway, living room, kitchen and dining room!
Thank you so much for stopping by my tour! The next stop on the tour is Yvonne from StoneGable. Her home is stunning and filled with neutrals and with a touch of glam! I’m especially loving her gorgeous living room with all those windows!

Sarah, I have slight office envy! Yours looks beautiful, so well organized, it’s putting mine to shame. {Must work on that soon.} I love your natural touch, using branches from the trees around your home is such a great way to bring fall to your home. It’s a joy to be on this tour with you today, Happy Fall!
Sarah I love your fall touches! How have I missed that fabulous bathroom of yours? I love every detail especially the sconces and the cabinet color! You fresh take on fall is fabulous my friend!
Sarah how do you get your hydrangea stems to stay perky? No matter what I do it seems the day after they’ve totally wilted and look almost dead. I don’t know if I’m cutting them wrong or what…
You home is so incredibly beautiful. Simply sprinkling oak branches around is such a great idea and looks fabulous with your blues, whites, and neutrals! Oh and those hydrangeas!!! So so good Sarah!
Your home is just gorgeous! I love your style and the colours that you chose. The blue and the neutrals are a great idea!
Sarah. Your home is beautiful. I enjoy watching you transition it through the seasons. I especially like the clean, uncluttered look which is the basis of my question. When you are in the mode of updating your home it seems that too much furniture has been accrued. What have you found the easiest process for sending unwanted furniture to its next home?
Thank you so much! I actually sell A LOT of items on a local buy/sell/trade Facebook group. I’m going to be sharing a post soon on how to do this and get the most money possible for your items! 🙂
