Do stores make you get into the holiday spirit? Â Â I love it that Christmas is now in full swing!
I went to Pottery Barn over lunch yesterday because I had something to return at a store nearby. Christmas was in full swing in the store and I was actually ready for it this year! The music was just so fun and they had a LOT of great items that I am hoping I can duplicate this year for much cheaper with some DIY projects.
Burlap Striped Ribbon – I’m pretty sure I can find a reasonable knock-off ribbon for much less than $16.50
Not only is the above ribbon cute for wrapping packages, I would really like to duplicate this burlap pillow. Â Â I love the ribbon stripe running down the middle of this neutral throw pillow.
And while we’re on the subject of throw pillows, I have been dying to have some of these sweater pillows for years now. However, I have seen tons of tutorials on the web lately for making your own. Very likely my next sewing project.
These faux fur blankets look divine. Not sure how I could replicate these so I may have to get the real thing :). They are super cozy for snuggling on the couch.
I have been in love with all things boxwood this year and these wreaths are no exception – but again – completely ridiculous at $69 a piece. Â These holiday wreaths are something that I am pretty sure I can recreate!
While on the boxwood topic, I would love some topiaries on our front porch. Â The sculptural aesthetic captivates me.
These numbered cachepots would be super easy to duplicate for a fraction of the Pottery Barn price and could really be used year round.
And I am still madly in love with the twig reindeer I have blogged about in years past. Apparently they aren’t going to get any cheaper.
So, is it too early for Christmas? I am seriously contemplating pulling everything other than the tree out this weekend…
