Weekend Recap

Good morning! I hope you all had a great weekend! Here’s a bit of what we’ve been up to over the past week or so.

Around Town & For Fun

We’ve had some gorgeous, and sometimes unusual, sunsets over the past week or so. Our golf cart rides have been all the more beautiful because of it!

Kurtis and I finally made our way over to Cafe Thirty-A for our official anniversary dinner last week. We had a gift card that we’d been wanting to use for ages, and we also wanted to take advantage of their early bird special with buy one, get one half off entrees. Like the old folks that we already are 😉 The ambiance wasn’t my favorite but the service and food were excellent! Kurtis couldn’t stop talking about the cinnamon apple bread pudding with cinnamon ice cream.

On Friday night, I hosted a little party for a few close friends on our street to welcome our friend Ashley. We’ve officially dubbed our street “Influencer Row”, as we have another influencer friend moving to our street later this month, as well! Check out this gorgeous spread with the food each of us contributed! Here’s the reversible egg board/charcuterie board that Rachel used. And here’s the raised circle serving bowl and tray/mini bowl I used for the salad, chicken and bacon. You can also see our all-time favorite margarita glasses peeking out in the top of the photo on the right, below.

Saturday night we planned a last-minute dinner at Amigos with a few friends/business partners to celebrate 100% occupancy at our commercial building! We also ran into another one of our favorite families and spent some time outside after dinner enjoying the live music, conversation and a beautiful evening.

I know it’s a very active week, weather-wise. We were on hurricane watch much of the weekend but thankfully, we won’t be seeing much of hurricane Debby. However, I know it is affecting so many people in the southern states, so I pray you all stay safe! Also hoping my friends in Omaha get their power back after major storms last week!

I’m also very sad to share that my aunt in Utah passed away over the weekend somewhat unexpectedly. With that, I will be flying back to Utah later this week to spend time with my parents, attend the funeral, and be with family. Until all the plans are finalized, I’m not 100% sure what my posting schedule will look like over the coming days/week. I hope you all have a nice week or two until we chat again!
