Weekend Recap

I hope you all had a great weekend! The bulk of mine was spent styling and photographing our pool area for the big reveal. I’m really excited about how everything turned out! I shared this sneak peak on Instagram (although it really doesn’t give much away). 😉

I ended up ordering this one-piece bathing suit (surprisingly it’s the only suit I’ve ordered all year)! I usually go for more of a tankini style, but this one was calling my name. Don’t the patterns look like fabric I would order for some throw pillows?!? It should arrive this week so I’m praying its a keeper.

Saturday was my brother-in-law’s birthday party so the guys did a little golfing in the day, and then the girls headed over to their house afterwards and we all had dinner and played games. It was a lot of fun! He told us to save the date because you don’t mess around for your 50th birthday party 😉

On Sunday, Justin came over and tentatively layed out our paver pathway. We have a bit more rearranging to do (and can hopefully mow the sod soon because it is out of control). But I’m super excited about the look of the pathway!

I finally pulled the trigger and ordered two pool floats that I’d been eyeing for awhile. I got this giant pineapple float:

And I got this giant pink flamingo pool float. The reviews were really good on this particular one (and not so great on competitor version).

We ended the weekend with a few hours in the pool and it was heavenly. We have a bit of a staycation planned over the 4th of July weekend, and we’re really looking forward to those extra few days at home!
