Welcome to this week’s Wednesday Watch List, where I share the random things that captured my attention and stole my heart over the past week!

1 – I enjoyed this home tour from Ivory & Bone Interiors. This little pantry situation is perfection! And I’ve been obsessed with the wallpaper in the powder both, and love that they used the light blue version rather than the natural raffia you see so much more frequently.

2 – In the past I have bought so many bathing suits from Tommy Bahama (their mix and match, and often reversible, tankinis are my go-to). But I tried them recently for some clothes and loved the three pieces I got! First up is this striped sweatshirt. It looks like something you’d get at Frank & Eileen for about half the cost. I love that you can pop the collar and it’s cozy without being overly hot. It has a relaxed fit so the size Large worked perfectly for me. I also grabbed this longer full-zip sweatshirt. It fits true to size (I went with the XL since I knew I’d be wearing stuff under it and using it more as a jacket). I love the longer length (nearly fully covers the bum if you like to wear leggings). This striped midi dress is also super cute! I found this one to fit more snuggly (I got the XL) so if you’re between sizes go with your larger size. The little wrap on the waist makes it so darling and the heavier knit fabric makes the dress very forgiving.
3 – I was considering this ring chandelier for the space, which is a slightly smaller version of what we have in our living room. But, when I came across this version for about one fourth of the price, I knew it was the winner. It looks incredibly similar, and since my lighting budget for the house was spent a long time ago, I liked that this was much more budget friendly. Especially considering the Visual Comfort versions have had a few price increases since we originally bought them. They have the larger size, like the one in our living room, here (which is an even more dramatic cost savings to this one). And while the original doesn’t have that ball shape at the top, we have this two-tiered version in our mudroom going up to the carriage house, and it does, so I feel like it still seems in line with the original.

Here was a little mock-up I did with two photos from my carriage house tour to see if I liked the overall look, and I loved it! If you ever want to try something similar in your home, I just used Canva to upload my photo and the stock photo of the chandelier.

4 – Nowadays, it seems like a lot of the faux pumpkins are more cost-effective than the heirloom ones you can grab at the grocery store or pumpkin patch. Then you can use them year after year, and also not have to deal with the rot factor! While I’d say these Pottery Barn ones offer the most color and size variety, there are now so many cute options! Here are a few from various retailers at different price points. All sources are listed below the graphic.

5 – I’ve really tried to be a lot better these past few months about upping my protein intake. It’s actually rather difficult to hit my daily goal with food alone. I had ordered this bone broth hot cocoa in the winter and never got around to trying it. But I opened it a few weeks ago, and holy cow, I’m obsessed. It’s so delicious and I love that I don’t have to feel guilty when I make a cup. I typically try to steer clear of most hot cocoa because it’s basically the equivalent of drinking a glass of sugar. But this one has 25 grams of protein per serving, and relatively low sugar. It’s pricey, but still about half the price per serving as my latte at Starbucks. I suggested it to Rachel, too, as a way to get her sweets-loving son to get more protein, and he’s been loving it too! Another thing I’ve been using recently is this coffee booster I was gifted several months back (if you use my link they will give you 20% off). Kurtis and I both loved it so much, we’re now on a subscription for it. While it isn’t high in protein it does have collagen and I’ve found this is a much easier form to take it in. We add one scoop to our first cup of coffee each morning. We’ve tried all three flavors and prefer the Vanilla. I’m not a huge protein shake person, but Kurtis has them daily and uses this protein powder (same brand as the bone broth hot cocoa). It’s one of the cleanest out there that we could find and the taste is great (I think we’ve tried them all other than the Strawberry). He goes through so much we just have it on subscription to get a discount (I also order their high protein flour for my sourdough). We also both really like this super clean air-dried steak (like jerky) and these protein bars and Kurtis likes these meat sticks (my code LIFEONVIRGINIASTREET15 will get you 15% off sitewide there). Hopefully some of these ideas are helpful if you’re trying to boost your protein intake, as well!
